:mjpls: Now you want to switch it to is he top 5?

1. You don't have to be a top 5 qb to win a title or titles.
2. What Romo got paid is the going rate for a franchise caliber QB and Romo IS a franchise caliber QB.
3. QB's get paid the most unless that team has a journeyman stop gap QB or a mid round rookie.

Every time someone criticizes Romo and someone else responds with numbers and facts they try to move the goal posts. Romo has flaws but his defense has been more flawed. Jones spent a lot of money on defense to players who haven't lived up to their potential. Ware got paid a lot but rarely made big plays in the clutch on defense. Ratliff got paid, then quit. Spencer was a first round pick and admitted to not playing hard.

Then Romo had to deal with them not upgrading the offensive line until recently.

I just don't get why the Cowboys don't run the ball a lot. I didn't watch a lot of their games but it seemed like they passed 75% to 80% instead of running the ball.

EDIT: Never mind I saw what you wrote about the O-line. If true that makes sense why they didn't run a lot.

Ok, their defense was ass all year. Teams that run the ball usually play great defense. The combination works because you shorten the game and keep the score low. Teams scored a lot on Dallas so in order for them to stay in most games, they had to put up x amount of points. NO lead was safe with that defense so the philosophy was to keep trying to score and the best way for them to do that is by passing the ball. Murray wasn't reliable until recently.

Makes sense. Do you think that Dallas has a chance to win their division?

They may have a shot.

For the Bengals I just don't get how Marvin is still the coach. Does Brown really like the guy?
I'm convinced Marvin has in his possession a video of Mike Brown sucking off a donkey or something, man. Mike Brown loves Marvin because he does enough for us to not be horrible. Just enough so that he doesn't lose money or have to spend too much.

Marvin is damn good at evaluating talent, IMO, but holy fukk he's one of the worst game day coaches in the league. Anybody can see that shyt. No reason for him to still be employed here as HC

They play too many close games. They either get overwhelmed by teams or they keep the games close. When all of your games are close then you're relying on wins are losses that are decided by 1 or 2 fluke plays. Unless they can get at least 5 wins where they win comfortably they won't win more than 7 or 8 games. The defense has to improve as well. it's going to take at least 2 offseason that get that defense right so I don't think they will make it. Too many variables going against them. Injuries kills this roster every year so its really hard to have faith in them making the playoffs. I mean they switch to a 4-3 and the most important element of the Tampa 2 (the defensive line) gets ravaged by injuries. Cowboys are an enigma. Would I be surprised if they make it to the NFC Championship game, no. Would I be surprised if they go 8-8 again, no. But I would be shocked if they went 5-11 with Romo starting every game.

Your team should make a play for Cowher. Although the Bengals may have to pay a lot for him.
Mike Brown would rather strangle a child than hire another coach and have to pay out the previous coach's contract. Lol it's fukked up but so true. Marvin went 4-12 and GOT EXTENDED.

Where dey do dat at man? :to:

I don't know even know anymore. It seems like every year they are rebuilding. I just want to see a sense of direction with the team. I'm just glad the Raiders aren't in cap hell anymore.
Yeah, I'm curious to see where they go in the draft. Might be best to just build the lines for a year or two before getting a QB in. Or just a 2-3rd rounder and let them sit behind Schaub(y'all got him right?)

I won't even pretend to know what's really goin on with your team besides random blurbs I pick up from my homies who's also a fan

Yeah Schaub is the QB and I don't know what they will do with Pryor. He will probably get cut.

I hope Clowney falls to us but I doubt it. They need to work on the O and D line first before worrying about a franchise QB.
