Giannis hype has obviously grown a lot, but I feel like him and AD both get the short end of the stick when it comes to public recognition due to their teams not being built well enough where they can contend.

AD's career is just going by. :mjcry:

Pelicans and Bucks suffered from the same exact thing, injuries to a key young player (Jrue / Parker) and then making the playoffs when they should have missed them. The Bucks playoff run last year was cute and all but had they lost a few more games they'd probably have Donovan Mitchell on their team, or Bam Adebayo instead of DJ Wilson.

Lebron as a rookie was also the leading scorer on his team unlike Simmons.

Lebron as a rookie also played with mostly a bunch of scrubs on the Cavs that couldn't help inflate his stat line with easy buckets, rebounds or assists like Simmons has due to having a current All Star in Embid & a better overall roster than LeBron had in 2003.

Also, I see that you're conveniently not comparing Simmons horrific FT% & nearly non-existent 3pt% as a current rookie vs Lebron 2003-2004 rookie season either.

Lebron Rookie:
FT% - .754
3pt% - .290

Ben Rookie:
FT% - .563 (3rd worst FT% in the NBA among active players & worst FT% among all current PG's)


3pt% - .000 (Be a NBA point guard who can't shoot a 3 pointer)
