BarNone brother, Ive never been of the Pragmatism and incrementalism ideology, and I sure as hell don't believe in that now. Look at the state of things.

We need a Tea Party like purge of these people.

I know it's radical in your eyes but we have reached that point.

What is it going to take for you and others to realize the truth?
I don't see this as incrementalist because we have yet to see the policy platform. I suppose if you think Schumer would stop progressive policies then you have a point. I think he will bend on a lot of things. Especially with Zephyr Teachout in the cut.

That will not happen....not without another Obama

And the Dems do not have that.

I have no faith in this person or others like hom, Clinton and Pelosi.

You posted a great article about voter apathy. We know how Dems perform in mid term elections.

And the answer is to keep the status quo in power?

I don't get it man. It's dangerous wishful thinking.

I thought some of you guys woke up after last week but it was just an emotional response to the election.

The Tea Party didn't have a central figure, they had people that were pissed off. They voted out politicians they felt did not represent then in primaries and scared the others into adopting their agenda. They even scared Democrats into compromising while Dems had a majority.

That's what we need on the left now.

That requires an engaged, informed, and organized/militant base at the grassroots for the left to pull it off.

It's easy for the right to do because all it takes is a billionaire backer preying on people's ignorance and prejudice. :francis:

This is politics. Some people on the left think that because the centrist don't fight that means we just throw them out and embarrass them. They got elected too but best believe if they continue in their ways Bernie will be calling him out and Schumer knows the game so he won't want someone grabbing his seat next time he's up.

That is what is happening. The Tea Party also didn't throw out all the veterans, they made them move farther to the right. This strategy is literally what they did. Challenge incumbents, and then force those still in Congress to bend. Mitch McConnell isn't exactly a guy that rode in on the tea party wave, but he was smart enough to harness it. You seem to think it's impossible for the left to do the same thing. I don't.
