Bernie Sanders has apparently not learned either

This is entirely untrue. He even was on CBS Morning News and repeated the same thing. Sanders won voters of color under 30 by a 2 to 1 margin. How is the following racist?

Well, the difference is with the GOP they are all bad faith and dog whistles....coming from almost anyone over there it would be nothing but that, but coming from Sanders, in this context is referring to the votes lost in the rust belt (the ones who could be salvaged, and aren't infected with racism) and how he sees the dems failure to reach those people. As far as deleting it, that's probably more about party unity in the wake, then it being construed as racist.

I get what you're saying. The Sanders campaign didn't do a good job with outreach to blacks. But even though he's from a state with virtually no black people, he isn't only speaking to whites. He's saying the Dems shouldn't be so arrogant to ignore them either. Obama won enough to win big electoral wins cause he spoke to them.

Out of everyone who ran for President in the whole field (20+ ppl), there was clearly one candidate who's consistently advocated for working people irregardless of color for his entire adult life.

He may not have a lot of signature legislative items passed, but he is putting forth the idea that if you attack the class warfare going on, you will also combat the racial inequalities at the same time

Sanders isn't a savior but he was by far the candidate who made the most sense and what he's advocating for is what many have been advocated for. He's lucky enough to have gained a bigger voice in the last 18 months.

I don't think you understand history, class, nor racism/the development of the concept of race.

Not many people are arguing for a vulgar reductionism of "there's no need to focus on race, just focus on class." The working class will not win without racial justice. Racial justice isn't possible without economic justice because the entire socioeconomic order is based on stolen land, stolen labor, and the hyperexploitation of Afrikan and other communities of color.

most people who went to college have no clue when it comes to understanding racism or class either. Often times their understanding is even less than a non-college educated person's understanding.

The world doesn't exist in neat categories. As I've said previously in the thread, you're not substantively dealing with race nor class if you try to do either in isolation. Just ain't gonna happen.

I'm not assuming anything based on your background. Most people period don't get it so statistically, my assumption would be sound on those grounds

Anyway, I'm not expecting Bernie nor any other bourgeois politician to fully understand it. Racial inequalities and injustice will always exist under capitalism. Bourgeois politicians and reforms can't solve these issues because they are endemic to capitalism itself. So if the expectation is for Dems to become a revolutionary party, it's never going to happen. The best that can be hoped for is a social democratic orientation with some pro-labor policies.
