Again, YOU combined the nations by saying europe... And they combined them with the EU. And they still pay LESS per capita for healthcare than america??? America still pays more per capita for those goodies than europe does.
1. Europe doesn't invent shyt like they used to

2. They have more money sitting around to spend on those goodies.

Its literally that simple. you don't have to be this dense.

EVERYone writes about this.

Europe doesnt invent as much as the US... Okay fine... Without researching this i will conceede. R and D from the government in the form of defense spending has been great. But your assertions are incorrect because

America spenda more per capita on goodies than these countries do. Its that simple. They are delivering the goodies more efficiently than America and thats why they have them. Simply better governing philosophies. America spends 3.5 prrcent of its GDP according to the world bank on defense.

Uk : 2.1 ... If they spent a percent and a half more of their gdp, is your argument null and void?

@Broke Wave for once I actually think Napoleon is correct. It was pretty much the general consensus when I was in college that the EU liked to talk, but when shyt hit the fan it was always expected that the US would do the bulk of the fighting. This even came from my EU professor who was an EU citizen. I'd love to see evidence to the country because 2009 was awhile ago, but that was basically the impression we all had.

Thats not what hes saying. Of course America garuntees the EU security and will defend it in the event of some war with Russia... But what hes saying is America is literally subsidizing the costs of the defense against this imaginary enemy, when the EU is the second largest defense spender. Furthermore, many EU nations spend less per capita on many things characterized as goodies by Napoleon. Americas military expenditures is not some kind of alturistic endeavor.

Are nikkas seriously suggesting the U.S. is "subsidising" the EU's defence because of it's benevolent nature and not because of the fact that America NEEDS to spend as much as it does because they insist on having military bases all over the world?

These are all strategic moves for America who wants to excercise global dominance/control, they're not doing it out of the goodness of their heart so other countries can spend less on defence. It's purely self-interest.

All you have to do is look at how Eastern Europe is building walls and renewing commitments to NATO. shyt is getting real over there. They're feeling the pressure of creeping Russian influence.

Dudes really got shyt twisted out here.

You know why these once great seafaring nations don't need aircraft carriers? Because the USA has more than enough for them. They build the jets. They invent the tech. They research the advances in intelligence. They invent the markets for goods. They are the reserve currency. They act as a stable third party to resolve internal conflicts.

The US PAYS for most of the welfare state of these lesser nations. Its true!

I'm saying its literally subsidized.

The EU is a defense SPENDER...not a defense SELLER. They don't invent shyt (some nations create a few items here and there but by and large, not)

You know who the largest defense spender is? Saudi Arabia. Thats right. they can't even fukking fight, but they'll stay buying the latest and greatest shyt. They're like the guy on the basketball court kitted out but can't even hit a free throw.

Again, individuals european nations have smaller populations and thus because they don't have to spend anything on defense, they can spend those funds on other things including the welfare state...which is not cheap.

I like Bernie the most out of the Dem field but it's obvious from the video in the first post his default is just to list all of the things he's going to give people for "free" any time he's challenged.

Or to remind you how much richer other people are then you.

There's nothing about this that's pro-growth at all. It's all just class wars.
