All we need is @Melbournelad (i meant @Darth Humanist) to say liberalism in America isn't nearly as left as a lot of other places in the world.

By American standards he's far left. In Europe he would be center-left to center.

America doesn't get to have wildly different standards on the left-right paradigm. In reality, he is a liberal and not much more left than centre-left.

I'll be watching. and I'll be voting for Bernie, but it'd be ridiculous to believe that the united states government would ever allow him to become president when the U.S government historically and factually has instigated coups of other countries to make sure they didn't become anywhere near socialist. the US government during the Greek civil war, backed the puppet government that was implemented in Greece at the end of WW2 who fought the democratic party of greece (communists, which included many who fought nazis during the Nazis takeover of greeCE)
