Black people are only 12-14% of the population. We will never be a major parties main concern. In fact, Bernie is going out of his way to talk about this stuff. Harsh truth.

You may have a point there. Consider this though: How successful will Bernie Sanders policies of socialist economic transformation be by avoiding the issue of race? After all, the plunder of black people is why we're currently in this condition.

By avoiding the issue of race, I mean how race has created economic equality. He seems to be focusing on inequality without reckoning with America's past

It will never be addressed as long as the USA stands. The goal should be bettering our quality of life, not reversing White supremacy via the government, because that is obtainable.

Discussions about African-American progress always end with, only so much is possible because of the way the United States came to be and currently is. How can we deem the struggle beautiful if there will always be a gap. If black folk will perpetually be on the lower-end of the stick?
