It starts to fall off when them kids get introduced to the story in my opinion but from what I can remember its still decent/alright

That whole scene is what put Guts over the top as one of the most gully characters of all time. This dude in hell throwing down against monsters/demons with everything he got as a regular human being as his friends running around like bytches and getting slaughtered (understandably).
Like yall said though... that scene where dude is "taking" Casca while Guts is forced to watch is some rage inducing shyt. But when he took that dagger and hacked off his own arm and charged forward that dude was on some other shyt from that point on...

Someone said eariler that the anime is pretty tame and not that brutal. I thought the shyt was pretty savage at times, But to me, it's not even about that...to me the anime is great because of how it deals with abstract notions like trust, friendship, betrayal, respect, love, hate.

Did this nikka Griffith just use Guts because of his dream, because Guts was a great tool to acheive it.

This current arc right now has been below the rest but it's still good.
It's coming off the Millennium Falcon arc which was great itself.

Being reborn and reforming the Hawk with demons and taking over shyt was epic
The stories been serialzied since the 80s and still produces better quality than most mangas at their peak.
I'd like to think that while Guts did consider Griffith a friend, Griffith only saw Guts as something of an emotional crutch.
It seems he did care for Guts and the crew before his transformation into a God Hand. I remember when he meets Guts again he says something on the lines of "I see that I'm free" nikka has no empathy anymore

I wish this dude would get back on his grind and get back to a at least a bi-weekly release schedule. I have a feeling he gonna commit that and we will be on some Shenmue shyt where we will never see how this is gonna end. I still believe that there is no way that this story can end happily. The main characters seem scarred beyond repair. I'm curious to see how Casca gonna be if she is ever cured.
I hear the reason why the author takes a long time to put out chapters is because he has mental health issues. At one point the manga put him in a depression.
