Pippen and Jordan played their entire primes together. Kobe wasn't in his prime while Shaq was a Laker. If you pair a 21 year old Shaq with a 21 year old Kobe they win just as many rings as MJ/Pippen if not more.

pippen was in his prime/apex in the 94 and 95 seasons. Jordan played a grant total of 17 games with pippen. Then pippen got hurt in 98 with his back and it was a wrap.

Jordan and Pippen had a much better supporting cast. No one on those Shaq/Kobe's teams were as good as Rodman, Grant or Toni Kukoc. Not even close.

Rodman was in his mid 30's on the bulls, Horace Grant was good but not an allstar, same with toni.

The bulls had specialist aside from jordan and pippen

Yeah and they were still better than anyone on those Lakers team not named Kobe or Shaq.

I would take glen rice over toni kukoc and horace grant.

Also, paxon, kerr, bj = fisher, shaw = 3pt specialist

Really hard to compare supporting cast both were pretty good let's not shyt on them to up shaq and kobe. Without shaw's heroics against portland and horry's shot against the kings the lakers are missing 2 rings.

For the people saying Shaq and Kobe, ya know Stockton and Malone 4-0 them in the play offs and then lost to Jordan and Pippens Bulls.

horace grant was awful in the 93 finals, had the bulls lost he would've been traded

93 Finals?:dwillhuh:

Game 1: Horace Grant shot 55.6% FG with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks. Scottie shot 60% FG with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals
Game 2: Horace Grant shot 76.9% FG with 24 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Scottie shot 41.7% FG with 15 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks.....and 7 Turnovers.
Game 3: Horace Grant shot 54.5% FG with 13 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 steals. Scottie shot 34.3% FG with 26 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, and 3 blocks....and 4 Turnovers.
Game 4: Horace Grant shot 63.6% FG with 17 points, 16 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Scottie shot 50% FG with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal......and 6 Turnovers.
Game 5: Horace Grant 0-4, with 1 point, 7 rebounds, 1 steal. Scottie shot 40% FG with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block
Game 6: Horace Grant went 0-5 with 1 point, 7 rebound, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Scottie shot 45.5% FG, 23 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.

By my look, Grant played well in 4 of the 6 games (Games 1, 2, 3, and 4)...while Scottie only played well in 2 of the 6 games:sas2:

I guarantee you a 21 year old magic and kareem win more than a 21 year old shaq and kobe simply because they got along and put winning first.

Nope.

Nope.

It wasn't just his offense barkley was killing horace all series they had to put scottie on him in stretches to try and stop him.

Make a thread asking about who would do better if both duos joined at 21 shaq or kobe or magic and kareem.

Oh, you mean the year Kobe wasnt starting and only averaged 21 minutes per game in the playoffs as 19 year old:comeon:

Charles Barkley is one of the Top 50 players and one of the Top 6 PFs of all-time.....and was in his prime as the League's MVP when he matched up with Horace Grant

Plenty PFs wouldnt have been able to stop Chuck, let alone a Horace Grant of all people.

No, because it's not even a valid question and way too hypothetical.

lol he averaged more points that year than any 3rd option the bulls ever had but keep down playing nikkas though.

:myman:
I don't care what he averaged. He couldn't defend, pass, wasn't reliable and was always out of place. Ask any basketball fan who watched basketball back then if he was a good player when he played for us.

Smush Parker averaged 13/4/4/2 when he played with the Lakers and no one that understands the game of basketball would say he was a good player. Even though the stats might suggest otherwise. Carlos Boozer is another example of a garbage player with deceivingly good stats. Averaged 18/11/3 with the Bulls and every single Bulls fan will tell you he was garbage.
