Told you.

Allow me to muse on FF 8 for a second.

The story seems like it doesn't make sense but it all comes together the moment you get to Esthar. People get caught up on the whole Squall/Rinoa thing in the same way that people get caught on Luke in star wars. FF8 is about two men and how the stop the reign of the sorceresses.

Look at the story in chronological order. You have Laguna and his boys, soldiers for Galbadia who stumble upon what very well coulda been the thing that pops off the Sorceress War (Lunatic Pandora), after being a deserter basically, he knocks up a village girl and his step daughter is kidnapped by the Soceress nation (Esthar) and he goes to find her. After finding her, fighting them and helping over throw Adel he sends his step-daughter back to the village, never knowing that the village girl gave birth to his son. Laguna becomes president and locks up the entire nation knowing that Galbadia and Esthar would be locked in perpetual war if he doesn't and dedicates his nation to monitoring and maintaining the prison that Sorceress Adel is locked in.

Meanwhile, his son and step-daughter are sent to an orphanage ran by a lady named Edea. She ends up creating the Gardens due to the high amount of orphans created from previous war. Laguna's son ends up aging out of the orphanage and ends up in the Garden system, along with many of his friends form the orphanage. Edea goes crazy from being possessed by a sorceress who wants to melt time into one singularity so she can rule it all. SeeD is created to stop not just her but ALL sorceresses. The events of the game begin, with Laguna's son and his friends having minimal memory of their previous friendship, due to GFs causing memory loss. Laguna's son named Squall becomes a SeeD, fights Galbadia, get wrapped up in the new War because of his client becoming the next target for the Sorceress. He also see visions of the past because that very same sorceress has been tampering with the time line. And those who have junctioned the same GF are placed in the same shoes as those who junctioned it in the past. (That's why Squall and Laguna always have the same GFs equipped.)

They investigate, and fight all the way to Esthar where thy find out that one Sorceress has been possessing and de-possessing women with the Sorceress blood throughout time. (Ultimaecia). Squall and his party finally beat her, and Laguna's and Edea/Cid's (separate but same) campaign of stopping the sorceresses is seemingly complete. And Laguna can finally start to build a relationship with his son.

Squall and Laguna are basically Luke and Anakin Skywalker.

Ppl just got caught up in love story not realizing that its not even really about that.

Its the only theory to make sense of that story that DOESNT make sense.

??? The story makes sense.

that Squall is Dead theory is pretty easy to dismiss

@Klarifeye The Great the only thing I'd change about your summary is the part where you said they are seeing visions of the past. Their consciousness is actually being sent back in time by Ellone. So Squal was inhabiting Laguna's body, and your party members Ward and the other guy. That's why Laguna would make comments about "fairies" being around.

And? He got Ko'd by the damage, taken to a prison and then woke up. It's obvious some time has passed since then.

It wasn't like he got cut in half and you have to really suspend disbelief at that moment.

ETA: Just double checked. The ice shard hit him in the shoulder. Come on mang

Right and the reason why she has that power is the fact that Ultimeicia is compressing time....i gleaned over that point, you are right.

How? Squall gets a big ice shard through him and then wakes up like nothing.

It was weeks/months in between then and the prison arc. Also we know that the Moombas know that squall is laguna's son. Its not outside logic to think they would go to extreme lengths to save him.

Watch the vid on youtube, dont turn this into one of those game theory videos. He got impaled by an ice shard AND fell off that building. That wasn't a battle simulation where you get k'od and can use a phoenix down

I did watch the video.

He got hit in the shoulder and then the prison arc starts some time later. Lets not act like he got shot in the heart and fell off the Empire State Building :dead:

this is a game where entire buildings take flight, there are swords with guns in them, a man who in his limit break runs around the entire planet, and a magical rave-bytch who can travel through time...and it hard for you to think Squall survived severe injury? :usure:

and he fell off a damn parade float shyt was like 4 feet off the ground.

None of that matters, thats all really during battle

In FF7 Aeris died from getting impaled by a sword but during battle you could do all kinds a crazy shyt.

and 4 feet?
