There's no way of saying for sure or vise versa. In Pierce's prime he was completely capable of carrying a team if he had pieces put around him.

Dirk by miles, dude is criminally underrated.
Dirk one of only 4 players EVER to average 25 ppg and 10 rpg in the Playoffs.
Dirk one of only 6 players EVER to average 50% FG, 40% 3pt, and 90% FT for a season.
I know Dirk is white, and this is a predominantly African-American forum, but what are we really talking about here?
Can anybody provide any statistical, numerical, or factual data as to why this should be a debate? Besides "one guy had a better team than the other guy" even though Dirk had a 6 year span where he only had 1 All-Star (Josh Howard for 1 year). And still won 50 games every year. While in a lopsidedly more competitive conference. And was 2 games away from winning an NBA Finals.

How many people are disagreeing? Most of us are saying yes dirk is better but it ISNT a huge margin and pp is a great player not a scrub.

Just wondering the point of the thread and the basis for the opposing argument breh, that's all.
I can spew Dirk/Maverick stats all day, because that's who I've followed since I was a kid.
I can't recite Celtics rosters or PP's stats, so I'm just wondering what the statistical basis for the comparison is. If anybody can drop some intriguing Paul Pierce or Celtics stats/facts/data, then this might be a discussion.
