Never denied this. Only saying that Dirk is a guy who could anchor a team with his second best player being Jason Terry over the span of 6 years or so.

Is Pierce winning 50 games with Jason Terry and role players around him for half a decade? Is Pierce even winning 40? Or 30? Pierce had no help for those mid-2000s, but the Celtics were beyond pitiful. Lottery-bound year in, year out. If you want to be compared to a guy like Dirk who could float a team in a LOADED West for a decade, you have to be able to stand on your own 2 in a shamefully watered-down East. Or at least be respectable. Or just not be losing 50-60 games a year.

There's no way of saying for sure or vise versa. In Pierce's prime he was completely capable of carrying a team if he had pieces put around him.

Dirk one of only 4 players EVER to average 25 ppg and 10 rpg in the Playoffs.

Dirk one of only 6 players EVER to average 50% FG, 40% 3pt, and 90% FT for a season.

I know Dirk is white, and this is a predominantly African-American forum, but what are we really talking about here?

Can anybody provide any statistical, numerical, or factual data as to why this should be a debate? Besides "one guy had a better team than the other guy" even though Dirk had a 6 year span where he only had 1 All-Star (Josh Howard for 1 year). And still won 50 games every year. While in a lopsidedly more competitive conference. And was 2 games away from winning an NBA Finals.

How many people are disagreeing? Most of us are saying yes dirk is better but it ISNT a huge margin and pp is a great player not a scrub.

Shut the fukk up.

2006 NBA Finals Mavericks Starters

PG: Devin Harris
SG: Adrian Griffin
SF: Josh Howard - 1x All-Star
PF: Dirk Nowtizki
C: Desegana Diop

With Jason Terry, flabbynsick Jerry Stackhouse, and EricA Dampier coming off the bench. This team beat prime San Antonio with Duncan, Parker, Manu, and Bowen AND prime Phoenix with Nash, Amar'e, Marion, and Barbosa.

Again, shut the fukk up.

Just wondering the point of the thread and the basis for the opposing argument breh, that's all. :manny:

I can spew Dirk/Maverick stats all day, because that's who I've followed since I was a kid.
I can't recite Celtics rosters or PP's stats, so I'm just wondering what the statistical basis for the comparison is. If anybody can drop some intriguing Paul Pierce or Celtics stats/facts/data, then this might be a discussion.

Pull ur skirt down fakkit. If it wasn't for devin Harris defense on Parker that series wouldn't have went the way it did but to ahead and say Harris was as big of a factor I that series cuz his don't look godly. Box score whore. Devin Harris put the clamps on Parker that series but if u ain't puttin up numbers u not a factor righty?

That's why I hate Monica nowitski stans. U nigguh will go out ur way to put down in his teammates to big up dirk. Now terry wasn't shyt either?
