That plus/minus stat is BS. PER rating is flawed formula, generally speaking. Even Hollinger (the creator of the stat) said so.
what does PER has to do with the stat in the link ? I dont think you understand the difference between the two

Wall is number one in Defensive real plus/minus according to ESPN:

http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM/position/1

So I'd venture to say their about even.

The Celtics score 103.8 points per 100 possessions with Rondo, compared to 100.7 when he's on the bench. That's the difference between ranking 17th and 24th in offensive efficiency. Neither is good, but the latter is much worse. And Rondo has this impact without a No. 1 option.

Stop trying to make it seem like Rondo hurts his team and that he's inefficient.

I didn't say anything about PER and it has nothing to do with Real +/-.

Just because the stat invalidates your opinion doesn't make it BS, unless you have a legitimate reasoning as to why it is.

@SuperCoolP_Cal

2 points for your boy tonight :sas2:

Lost against the Knicks at home :scusthov:

You gonna stay tagging me for every Celtics game? :why:

Anyways, Rondo only took 3 shots all game (1 was a 3-pointer). You can bash Rondo for his lack of scoring but we already know he's not a great scorer. You're not breaking new ground. Your material is stale.

You also failed to mention that he had 10 assists (with only 2 turnovers), 7 rebounds, and a steal.

Tonight, Rondo had 2 points (on 1-3 shooting), 10 assists (with only 2 TOs), 7 rebounds, and a steal in 32 minutes. His +/- was -11.

'Melo had 22 points (on 9-20 shooting), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal in 39 minutes. His +/- was +1.

Jose Calderon had 9 points (on 4-10 shooting), 7 assists (with 1 TO), 3 rebounds, and 3 steals in 33 minutes. His +/- was +11.

Quincy Acy had 0 points (0-1 shooting), 4 rebounds, 3 assists (with 1 TO), and 2 steals in 17 minutes. His +/- was +16.

After PER, the +/- stat is the most useless and disingenuous statistic. According to your logic concerning +/-, Quincy Acy had a better game than Melo, Rondo, and Calderon. Moreover, your logic dictates that the Knicks performed best when Acy was on the floor...even though he only played 17 minutes.:mjlol:

Don't ever bring up that statistic again to measure how good a player is (or to knock a player).

Do your research. Real +/- is much more advanced than regular plus minus. What you just wrote was a waste of time.
