Shut em Down is on that list, cats came to school with that shyt designed in they high top fades. But Can't Truss It was also HUGE. That video piemired and had black folks pissed, like every PE cut, I'm serious. My older cousins, aunts, uncles went to work PISSED having to punch that clock. That video was some powerful shyt. Can't Truss It was like this era's "Woke". It ended up being our class song. Your heard that trumpet blaring every time somebody had KMEL on. We loved PE. Its hard as fukk trying to choose "1" song with the type of variety and different feelings we had back then.

None of these songs were bigger than Summertime, that shyt comes on today and you will see everyone nodding their heads to that shyt. They will he playing that at BBQ's in the summer 20 years from now and it's already been getting burn for 20 years.

I don't think the question is what's bigger, it's what's the best..

If it was the biggest then

I went with Choice Is Yours, and see I'm in the minority big time. That was my favorite single when it dropped :manny:

OPP and Summertime were huge too.

All of these songs were “hot” though. This was 91. It was a whole different climate. Hip hop hadn’t crossed over like it would years later.

@FreshAIG did an excellent job of curating the choices.

That DJ Quik snub though :wow:
But of course, the east coast bias propaganda must continue to preserve the east coast hater legacy
