I'm not feeling Mind Playing Tricks On Me being in the lead. I fukked with that song heavy but thats not how I remember 1991. This is why i hate these coli polls....they always tell the story the opposite from what I remember.

You can always tell in certain threads the people that lived it from those that researched it extensively online according to the internet years later

Then there’s regional bias, accusations of regional bias and inferiority complexes instead of just calling it how it was/is

Most people in an booth don’t know wtf they talking about

OPP without a question. That song was EVERYWHERE. It bubbled in the streets first then spilled over to radio and MTV/BET. Like @DANJ! said, although Black Sheeps album dropped in 91, the Choice Is Yours became a hit at the top of 92. I know this because I was in the 2nd half of my freshman year in high school, ripping and running the streets. Can't Trust It was bigger then Shut Em Down (OG). Also, I don't see Nice & Smooth Hip Hop junkies on here which was a big song that year.

I need people to clarify what "best" means because I see people talking about charts and radio rotation....we talking popularity, or what we/our peer group considered the best? Because the two aren't necessarily the same.
