Complaining: express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event.

Saying a song is missing isn’t being annoyed, it’s an observation. That’s fine. I’m not gonna hit every possible song when it’s narrowed down to 8. There’s always gonna be a possible resplacement. I could’ve put 10 other songs on here. These years had a lot of great singles. My job is to pick the ones that I felt best fit the criteria. If you disagree I don’t care. You’re entitled to your opinion.

You reference the 1990 thread as an example, not sure why, it proves my point, not yours. Literally nobody complained about Can't Touch This omission except you, Bigs and Smoke. One other person asked where it was on the list. Everyone else either just voted or disagreed with y'all complaint saying that song didn't belong. So not sure why you used that thread as an example when it negates your point that anyone besides you three are complaining.

listing subs is an example of expressing dissatisfaction.
it may be a more cordial form of a complaint, but its a complaint nonetheless.

In the mid 90s Coolio was that nikka with the funny hair who just so happened to have a huge hit with Gangsta's Paradise. And on top of that the hook made that song. Coolio wasnt mentioned when the best MCs were being discussed. Compared to the other singles in the poll Gangsta's Paradise isn't a timeless song​

I literally just finished reading the 92/93 threads. I'll give you 93, two other people besides you and Bigs complained about an omission of Ice Cube's song (Which I admit is a major omission and the only one I felt is worthy of legit criticism). Reading 1992, literally the only issue is debates about the year a song dropped, 85-90% of the thread is normal discussion about the list and what a dope year it was. I don't mind debating other songs should be on the list, because like I said, any of these years you can replace any 5 songs with another 5 songs and not be wrong. These years are strong and full of classic singles. So nobody is necessarily wrong but we can debate all day about this song over this song. Unless it's "Today Was a Good" type of omission (Because that's a potential winner), to me, it just derails the thread when we should just be discussing the list and not everything that didn't make it. These years are usually 30 deep in quality singles. Narrowing it down to 8 is obviously gonna leave some worthy contenders off the list. It happens.

DAMN NEAR EVERY YEAR. Aside from 1992, 1995, none of my favorite singles from the other years even made my list.

the same way youre ignoring the basis of these arguments from the three "complainers". nobody is mad just because a certain song didn't make the cut. the problem is when songs that are considered shoe-ins get snubbed in favor of songs that have no place on the list. that's what this is really about. but yall want to dance around that.

its the slightly cleaned-up version with the video that came out later and went mainstream without the actual song going mainstream. and the rest is history.

I didn't even know who master p was in 1995, to keep it a buck. I prolly saw that "mobbing thru the hood" video on rap city once or twice tho.​
