"Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma" in one summer?:damn:

Gotta give it to the boy Mr Giles :whew:

Also, no K-Rino fukkin up the count? :blessed:

Hey Ma is one of personal favorite Cam joints. Just an all around feel good joint and Juelz verse was classic.

"Don't touch nothin. SIT in the car:stopitslime:"

Come Home With Me was the last above average Cam album:mjcry:

The Eminem Show over The Fix, Lost Tapes, and Lord Willin? Hell, I'll even throw in Come Home With Me.

The :mjpls: is strong in here

The Fix is the best album of 2002 yet Face has 2 votes

People haven't been voting based off best album, or if they have, they have poor taste

2002 has to Nas, even though Stillmatic dropped the previous year, having 'defeated' Jay-Z and on top of Jay having dropped an underwhelming album in The Blueprint 2, gave him a huge boost in momentum. He gave us the Illmatic to Stillmatic remixes, The Lost Tapes and God's Son, all of which had the streets buzzing something serious, had people speculating if he was going to join Murder Inc when 'The Pledge' dropped. I mean Em technically had the biggest year, with the Eminem Show, 8 Mile and the Beef with Benzino, but Nas was the King of NY. Plus the he also contributed to 2 of the best albums of that year in 'The Essense' on AZ's Aziatic (also his best album) and In Between us on Scarface's the Fix.

I mean I still remember how crazy the people went when 'Made You Look' dropped and went berserk with the even doper remix with Jadakiss and Luda.

Also dude kicked off the year getting 5 mics for Stillmatic and Illmatic finally went Platinum in 02

The way I see it MVP shouldn't just be about the best album. When you look at sports the MVP doesn't always go to the best player in the league but the best player on the best team. Face might've had the best album but Nas and Em made more contributions

It depends for me on the year.

Drake may have run 2015 but Kendrick had the best album, so in some situations where the 'popular' MVP option doesn't cut it quality-wise for me I do go off best album. Sometimes it is best album plus that extra shyt that comes with it e.g. Big in 1994 (my opinion RTD >>).

In this case, gotta be Eminem for me because his really great album plus the soundtrack plus the sales and the huge appeal etc. puts him over Face for me, who gets second off having the best album. Nas in 3rd off being basically a lesser Eminem that year.

and you changed your vote

I been switching back and forth all day. My Nas bias keeps bringing me back:wow:

Kendrick was right to win 2015. He not only had the best album but won all the awards and was literally everywhere. Idk I might switch again. Em did have a movie loosely based on his life. It doesn't get bigger than that

Exactly that's why mvp and best rapper alive should be two different categories

I almost gave it to :ahh:, The Lost Tapes was the best album that year and God's Son was nice too. But I'm going with :stopitslime:....

Come Home With Me, Diplomats Vol. 1-3, legendary Paid In Full performance :manny:

think about it in a sporting context, where the term derives from anyway

when you say who's better e.g. LeBron vs Kobe, many people point out Bron's 4 MVPs and 3 Finals MVPs versus Kobe 1 MVP and 2 Finals MVPs to argue in Bron's favour...here the MVP basically denotes who's better, even though it is SUPPOSED to show who's more valuable

the reason I use the term MVP is just because it's cool and we can relate it to a sporting context....the main emphasis is Best Rapper Alive, but that can be interpreted in multiple ways anyway so it doesn't change how the voting process works
