One good track doesn't mean he has a good discography.

I listen to Joell Ortiz, I enjoy the Free Agent album but for his ability he could have better bodies of work

Same goes for Jadakiss

How many albums does he have? Two? Three? I thought Bodega Chronicles was a classic if not damn near. One solid body of work out of three isn't bad, especially when a lot of artists don't have that.

"King" or "Urban Legend", take your pick.

If any T.I. album is classic, it's Trap Muzik. It's arguably his best effort and undeniably the most impactful, influential album in his catalog.

You gotta look at the potential. That 125 Grams freestyle is AMAZING. But since then, what does he have to show for his ability? It'll be different if he wasn't that good an artist... but even Papoose got better projects than Joell Ortiz

:mjlol: Its not "undeniably" his most impactful or influential album. A lot of rap fans have never even heard "Trap Muzik", I have personally, but it seems most were introduced to T.I. through "Bring Em Out".

A lot of rap fans had never heard Illmatic. Does that make It Was Written the classic because they were introduced to Nas through "If I Ruled The World"?

Every rap fan worth their grain has heard "Illmatic". "Trap Muzik" isn't in that category.

I didn't say it was in that category. What I'm saying is a lot of people listening to rap in '94 were not up on Nas or Illmatic until "If I Ruled The World". That doesn't take away from the impact and the influence of Illmatic. On the same token, people being introduced to T.I. later doesn't take away from the impact and influence of Trap Muzik.

Lmao this thread is hilarious.

Cant even have an opinion about white god Eminem or else you're bugging or whatever, as we see in the thread.

And OF COURSE the 1st dude who acted emotional about it is WHITE and OF COURSE Eminem was one of the 1st rappers he listened to as a kid. Lmao.

And OF COURSE his reason to argue against it is because people here are on some FAKE PRO-BLACK shyt.

Gotta take them medical pills these Eminem-boys.

There's opinions and then there's the exaggerations and hyperbole that come along with discussing Eminem on The Coli. A lot of what's said about Eminem is the same "he's overrated", "there's little to no substance", "he's rappity rap", "he's all technical skill and no soul", "how can he be GOAT without a classic" etc. Most, if not all of it are pretty much knee-jerk reactions to Youtube comments that have Eminem as the GOAT or one of the GOATs. It isn't like there's posters on here who make threads about how Eminem is the GOAT. In fact, most of the threads made here about Eminem are threads about how he's either fallen off, was never good to begin with, how terribly his music aged, or how weak/garbage his discography is.

I think Ima go with Crooked I

Talent wise Crooked I is one of the best Mcs to ever rap. But material wise he's one of the worst. He doesn't have 1 single classic song in his entire discography and he's been rapping for 20 years. It's not that his material is even wack it's just so completely forgettable.

Who y'all think

I love his work on C-Style presents 19th street compilation, I would say there are some classic songs on there, but that doesn't count since it was a compilation & not his actual solo work.

Most of his best work is collaborating with other talent. Not everyone is meant to be a solo artist.

Uhh, all of this is irrelevant to what i pointed at. This is about discography. So that is irrelevant.
FACT is that his discography isnt there, but because he's Eminem - Hip-hops Elvis - cats gotta make excuses and say people who say different about him are bugging. None of his
albums have actually been deemed classic, outside of his own fanbase who think each song he puts out is a classic. The only exception is Marshall Mathers. Slim Shady is a dope project but thats that.
Classic is something different IMO.

Since people wanna talk that fake pro black shyt, the reverse of the matter is the white priviledge. Cuz Eminem is a talented emcee, no doubt, but thats what he got off on. Being a dope emcee BUT musically
not standing nowhere near the top. But cuz hes white, sold records, you know the only artist played on country stations and shyt for being white & having another demographic - it automatically makes him top 3. Hell no. Had he been black he'd been just a tons of other skilled emcee but who dont have a catalouge to match it.

So what too (about the shyt people say on this site)?! Go check his own website, Youtube, other hip-hop forums and it's mostly praises and psychotic white fans who didnt give 2 fukks about hip-hop prior to Eminem, but now all of a sudden they know who the greatest is? Foh.
