There has been much about the need for blacks to practice group economics and create their own businesses. As it stands the black community is being economically occupied by immigrants and foreigners. There is little within the black community that the blacks themselves own or operate. This could all be reversed if we simply chose not to patronize businesses that aren't owned by blacks. But with such disparity it is extremely difficult for most blacks to even begin to find a convenient black owned business to cater to. In my hometown of Detroit blacks have essentially forfeited their wealth to Arabs and have become economic slaves to these people. The road to regaining economic empowerment within the black community is a long one. Especially considering that immigrants and foreigners have created monopolies. However regaining control of our economy is essential to our survival

With that said if you had the money ad resources what would be your first business idea to turn the tide?

Any business is the best black business.
Not necessarily. I can't recall how many times I hear blacks wanting to own their own bar or beauty salon. While these things have there place they aren't going to uplift us.

Look at what the market says.

If i were to open a business in a black community, I would look to see what business can maintain a stable margin of profitablity in the Black Community.

What I see most often are check cashing/micro loan firms and liquor stores. A hair product store would probably do well. i don't think exotic resturants would do well. i am not talking about "real" exotic food, rather, just some random korean-owned sushi place.

Some kind of really greesy American-Chinese food place would fair well I'd think.

you answered it yourself. look at what "outsiders" are doing, and do that. literally just look at what asians are doing in the community, open the same business and try to compete. easier said than done since some immigrants have the backing of ethnic business associations and "cartel" prices on merchandise that black people wont have access to, but you gotta crawl before you walk.

another thing is black people need to find a better way to capitalize off ethnic cuisine. rustic dining and street food are some of the easiest businesses to start, and many ethnic foods can be found, but where is the fast soul food place? church's and popeyes dont really count since those are generically southern, and chicken n waffle shacks are too limited in appeal to truly take over. there should be an equivalent of taco bell and chipotle for soul food. i want to be able to get me some greens in 5 minutes

Too much talking. Not enough doing. If you see a problem or a need that isnt being met the address it. You have a problem with A-rabs having the corner store game on lock? Then open up a corner store.

Better yet, how about creating a business to replace the income that you get from some CAC? If you make $45000 a year from a job a CAC gave you then create something that will have you earn in the same ballpark. It's not that complicated or requires the amount of discussion or deliberation that nikkas put into it.

The goal is to become independent of the CAC's money and remove yourself from his filthy, disgusting, and rancid teat. The sense of pride and the increased self-esteem is worth it.

Fast food, corner store, pawn shop, liqour store, barber / salon, cab company, tow truck, mechanic, beauty supply, but the best by far is a church. No inventory and no taxes.

There is no true best, the black community always has several under-served categories and no other community is as easy to startup a business in.

black community's shot. niccas don't want to see other niccas excel. coming up in the black community is hell. you gotta run off to the white community if you're trying to do something. even in the white community black ppl would rather give business to white folks. and of course white ppl will only support white businesses.

the black community's really a harsh environment for any business. change needs to come from the top. little guys like us don't have the time or money to do so. we just trying to protect the little we have.

there are only four central distributors serving beauty supply stores in the country and these Korean owned distributors discriminate against Black store owners in order to maintain their monopoly in the market.

depends on the region, and depends on your business goals.

is your goal to make as much money as you can, or is your goal to improve the community?

or a combination of both?

also a black business person fuqqin up in the white community fuqqs up for other black ppl. white ppl don't mind trying a black business but a bad experience will keep them away from black owned businesses. you could have nothin to do with other niccas but get to suffer because of them.
a white business person could fuqq up but it won't affect other white businesses.
