Best type of business to own/start in the black community

Well first what u need to do, is recognize what businesses are predominately being patronized by the AA community. Whatever it is. I can't pretend to know, since I'm a humble handsome Afghan from Toronto.

You find out what those are so u can start your own alternative, and steal the business away from outsiders.

Nxt , you gotta get into real estate. You need to create some kind of company that buys up properties in predominately AA communities and provide mortgages at affordable interest rates to resident's

Owning the property allows for more pride of ownership and allows the AA community to have more of an invested interest in keeping the community safe-prosperous as they have a vested interest (property value)

Next you need to start having prominent and educated blacks to come back into the community to provide the basic services like legal services, accountants etc so they don't have to leave the community

Next you Need to start providing tutoring services and scholarship programs to increase the education of the community

Mentorship programs are key here.

Hand in hand with all of this, is the creation of a socio cultural organization that creates a permanent presence within the community and provides services like free breakfasts, cultural education etc

The black man and woman must be empowered and must recognize his or her identity outside of being your typical American.

He is making it hard for Koreans to do business in Houston and is expanding in other cities. Since Koreans cannot do hair and treat black people terribly, he created a company where a woman can buy hair and get their hair done 7 days a week and be treated with respect. Very simple idea, but he put it into motion. Dude is ballin, he's adding more jobs in the community and he is beating the Korean competition. He advertises heavily on hip-hop and RnB stations too.

I have a homeboy (black) that has a marketing consulting company that he started last year. Its already doing well, he is about to score a contract worth around 40-50k to expand the marketing for a suburban shopping center. He has other stuff in the works too. He will make at least 100k from his company this year and that is low balling.

But seriously instead of just making our own company I think it's better if we mesh ourselves in one already big corporation like wal mart then by applying for all different positions then in 10/15 years have a black CEO, board of supervisors, etc

I would like to add more points here

- hand in hand with a property management company that purchases land/homes, and provides affordable financing to african america homeowners, comes a variety of employment opportunities such as landscaping, snow shovelling, renovations, trades etc jobs. The point is to have black sellers, black buyers, black maintainers of property, black service providers

- I really like alot of what the NOI does, minus that religious nonsense. If some of the brothers in the community can organize a security detail (again employment opportunities, especially for the brothers who may have records preventing meaningful employment but are eager to turn their lives around and contribute to their community). I can not over emphasize this point. Little kids, especially males, look up to the rebels and bad asses because they are a representation of strength and masculinity. I know because, as an Afghan, its the gun clappers, bandits and rebels we look up to. So the community needs to redefine, in a positive sense, concepts of masculinity. Let it be the brother in a suit and briefcase, coming in to teach the youngsters, or the brothers providing security in the projects, as opposed to the stupid drug dealer and gang banger.

- these type of projects and experiments should be concentrated in one community first, all resources and efforts directed there. Once that model community is established, that success becomes contagious. Other communities can learn from it, can be motivated by it, and this success can be replicated.

- sacrifices are required. the lawyer and accountant need to take that paycheque to come back to the community. The grocery store, ideally should be non profit, to ensure affordability of good food. The financing companies need to take that hit on the points, to provide affordable loans.
The bright students who pursue higher education should pursue their internships and coops with organizations that are in the community,

Also, I dont know how feasible this is, but some of these fukking atheletes and singers and rappers need to start getting extorted for real. You cant come to the community once a year for a fukking photo op. You need to start kicking back to these organizations,. Even if its a few thousand here and there, it adds up. And I mean, Im sure there are tax break benefits as well.

you have more insight on this shyt than many black dudes I know... which is crazy cuz I think you're a persian or some time of Asian..

But I agree about the NOI. One thing they do good is turning lost ones into psudo Malcolm Xs-- the same way the did Malcolm. The Alpha males will always have the precede and the influence.... so even if someone makes mistakes as a kid or young adult groups like the NOI still help them reach their full potential.

A guy I know who used to be noi - just recently went to get a loan to 'scale' his business and he was discussing all of his 'record' with his lawyer... and his lawyer made the slick comment about how he doesn't get how he was able to build these businesses after those charges. He has two franchises and another company - so I feel that knowledge of self and masculinity are underrated.
