man, if the independent spots are doing it for 90 and apple is doing it for 109, I'm going with apple, cuz you will get the full warranty.
I had my 5S done by an independent spot for $100 and when they did that, the speakers wouldn't get loud anymore afterwards. however, I took it back to apple and said my speaker ain't working and they replaced it free cuz it was still under warranty.
If I knew apple did it that cheap, I would have had them do it from the jump.

just cracked my 6S screen a few days ago. apple was the cheapest place to repair it at $129+ tax. I had to wait a couple days til I could go, but they fixed it in a couple hours. I figured I'd go the apple route because I didn't wanna worry about voiding the warranty.

Spots around here do screen repair for $110 after tax.
For $20 more you can get Apple to do it themselves with official parts, not some cheap 3rd party unlicensed shop in Bangladesh.

yeah, you could take it to the arabs at your local phone shop that also sells fitted hats and shoes, or have apple do it officially for slightly more and have that piece of mind.
on a side note, apple told me that if you were to buy the screen outright without them putting it in, it cost like $300. they said they get reimbursed the difference when they send in the broken screens which is why they do it for that price.

Last time my iPhone broke, i put it in the microwave in uncle bens rice and it didn't work. But some guy on Facebook told me if i used long grain aged himalayan basmati rice and use an oxy acetylene torch, it would fix it in under 30 seconds. The high temperatures of the torch flashes the rice directly to the gas phase and allows it to perfectly flow into all the cracks then resolidify into a crystalline structure. You can learn to fix anything on youtube.
Use warranty or replace glass with experienced technician. Spend the money with a popular yelp repairman if you don't have a warranty
