Japan, but from the 989
Damn. I was going to say Oxy, but I'm seeing all these brehs talk about Mastermind. I listened to Mastermind drunk once and didn't really pay attention. I guess I'll give it another listen then. Break the Bank is still my shyt...

And The Purge has that

It's not really close IMO, but I'm legit shocked that Ross is beating what I'd consider the cliche internet messegeboard babyface contender in a poll like this

I'm proud of you Coli...:wow:

Hate this phrase and the whole "hipster" argument. Such a copout and a way to not give dudes credit.

Too bad...

Schoolboy Q without TDE rap smark, messegeboard bandwagoning = less fanfare than Nipsey, Glasses Malone, Jay Rock (pre K-Dot come up) or any number of other random (and in many cases better) west coast gangsta rappers the past decade to pretty much get 0 love relatively speaking....dude's completely unremarkable IMO, benefiting pretty much exclusively off the strength of TDE being the trendy cool to like camp of the moment...thanks to a large part because of Kendrick being a transcendent talent

While the bolded may or may not be true, it doesn't take away from the fact that the guy has delivered so far in career. HnC was considered among the top releases of 2012 and I expect the same for this.

Yeah I wasn't too terribly impressed with Oxymoron at all, but i fully expected it to be lauded as genius and excellence as well...hence my surprise it would lose a poll to the big evil, mainstream :duck: spewing flossy "mainstream" rapper bad guy Rick Ross

IMO it's just like HnC was, entertaining raps over good production(for the most part) with some introspection in there as well. What he lacks lyrically(although he's no slouch either) he makes up for with presence and style.

Only tracks I didn't like were Studio and that Los Awesome

I haven't bothered with Ross since Teflon Don so I won't comment but he's gotten consistently good reviews from what I hear from all his albums(except GFID, nobody I know seems to like that).

I just never liked the whole "he's only on because the hipsters like him" argument. Just seems like another way of trying to shyt on someone you don't like.
