I guess some people are just attention seekers and trolls and have no interest in having genuine music debates and discussions. That's 1 of the things that could really do with improving here, less attention seeking trolls and some room for music discussion. It's dope having a debate or comverstion with someone who knows what they are talking about even f you differ but when the other person has no clue they are just trolling.

That's not why I brought it up. I brought it up to counter the idea that you could be a hip hop fan (I guess in the US) in the 90s and not know who 40 was. You may have hated his music (seems a lot of people did) but you knew who he was

Yeah I'm sure not everyone who picked Missy is ignorant of E-40's work, but the OP is and the bytch "guy". It applies both ways too, got to have heard Missy too, I wasnt really a Missy fan as a kid (heard a few things wasn't feeling really) but when I got a lil older and I checked everything saw she had some joints when I heard more. I respect her as an artist and certainly a producer, even if she isn't always my taste. I guess you need different styles and it's not like she can't rap, she just does her thing her own way. I did know a really dope rapper who was a big fan of her and m Timberland though, I think it was the production that really got him as he was a producer too. He was a lowkey street dude too, so I have heard of different people like both, and goes without saying really that E-40 got love in the streets, particularly The Bay, West in general, south too and internationally too he got some play.
He was on Pac's shyt too people forget which sold millions and so many people heard, that's actually how I first heard him as a kid, liked him from Pac's work and went from there....
What is cute or funny about saying that E-40 isn't some legend outside of the Bay and that people prefer Missy...You can't throw a tantrum because everyone outside of the Bay doesn't care about 40 like that...You open yourself up to trolls when you show your feelings like that
