U and Dat got MAJOR airplay all across the nation. These people are really starting to confuse me with their "40 didn't get play outside The Bay" non sense. Unless they only listened to some pirated radio stations that only play "Real Hip Hop".

Fair enough. That was an exaggeration because no one is as trash and unknown as K-Rino. If we're being honest NEITHER artist would be invited to perform at the SB by themselves and not as features artist.

I was in DC at that time...that record and Tell Me When to Go got club play back then.
I'm fairly confident DC clubs weren't playing 1 Luv in 95.

U and Dat, and Tell Me When To Go were nationwide hits. And Choices has gotten MAJOR airplay down here in the last 5 months. I STILL hear 40 on the radio today more than i here Missy. Missy had the far better peak than 40. But 40's music is getting airplay on the radio down here as I'm typing right now. I always hear "Choices" on the radio. You guys are in denial and or don't listen to the radio. Or are liars.
You came to Canada in 96 was it? Was there a radio station that played hip hop then? If not, when did it start? Did it lean East Coast, West Coast?in regards to what?

Mainstream Toronto (and Canada in general) has a sad history of neglecting hip hop on some racist shyt. Too long to explain. There's been an underground community in Toronto going back to the early 80s given our close proximity to New York. We had college radio devoted strictly to hip hop as far as back as 1983.
But in terms of FM? From what I remember, we didn't get an FM hip hop station till 2000. To be honest, I never really listened to Flow 93.5.
So in 1996, the big college radio shows "Power Move Show" and "Masterplan" were probably East Coast leaning. Heavily.
