I can see that - but that was the third strike against him at the time. The Firm album was awful, I Am was disappointing (although the bootleg was) and then Nastradamus was simply abysmal.
As a heavy Nas fan at the time, it seemed like the nail in the coffin.
Just looking at it objectively - its probably better than a 4.
Nastradamus had some joints, it certainly shouldn't be put in a category of Yeezus which is probably 1 of the worst albums of all time lol. His lyrics were still on point too.
Life We Chose was a dope record.
Not gonna lie, I always liked the Nastradamus record lol. I don't really see why people hate it, lyrics aren't bad, must be the hook bit but I'm not trippin about that. Always liked the song.
Some Of Us Have Angels didn't really like the beat... Lyrics again weren't bad at all though.
Project Windows wasn't bad.
Come Get Me was ill, classic song to me. Always loved it.
I liked Shoot Em Up.
Last Words I liked, thought Nas MURDERED his verse, great artistry.
Family with Mobb Deep another track I always loved.
God Love Us always liked, thought it was deep.
Quiet nikkas again, the beat didn't really appeal to me.
Kind of liked the flow on Big Girl.
Always liked New World a lot.
Never really felt U Owe Me but know people who liked it.
Overall would give it about a 7, not his best but not THAT bad either. Regardless MUCH better than Yeezus lol.
Just listened to U Owe Me and it's not even sounding that bad. Listenable, I think as Nas fans we expect more from him and hold him to very high standards, so Nastradamus probably was a small decline but it also has a lot of shyt that's dope and better than most people.
) and then Nastradamus was simply abysmal.

rest is on pair with anything Mobb Deep released if not better
