Beyoncé gets a lot of praise but isn’t she just as destructive and poisonous as the city girls and Meg the stallion?

i'm actually always open to beyonce is overrated conversation, but most of those songs are within the context of she was in a relationship or is seeking a relationship, that is the opposite of thot rap.

i bet a lot of people think beyonce is a pick me for staying with jay-z

She’s a musician creating songs that she thinks people want to hear. Only during these later years did she start making more personal music.

Hell fukking no.

Beyoncé been a musician since 1997 she’s part of that Usher era. Don’t even compare her to these gen z idiot rappers who are literal hoes.

She got with Jay Z at 17. Prior to that had one boyfriend. She’s nothing like these creeps

Bills, bill, bills
Irreplaceable
Run the world (girls)
Single ladies
diva
Me myself and i
Soldier

But she also has

Cater 2 u
Smash into you
All night
Dangerously in love 1 & 2
Crazy in love
Love on top
Dance for you
Upgrade u
1+1
Until the end of time
End of time
Be with you
Hello
Baby boy
Mine
Suga mama
Scared of lonely
Ave Maria
Satellites
She can’t love you
Where’d you go
Stay
Sweet sixteen
Brown eyes

Where are the city girls songs like this?

This song did more damage to the black community than any city girls or meg the stallion song :unimpressed:

"A rude boy that's good to me, wit street credibility"

"If your status ain't hood
I ain't checkin' for him
Betta be street if he lookin' at me"

"I know some soldiers in here (Where they at, where they at)

They wanna take care of me (Where they at)
I know some soldiers in here (Where they at, where they at)

Wouldn't mind takin one for me (Where they at)"

"Next to the speakers keep a toy in the trunk of the 'lac

A reformed D boy use to run into traps
Still a soldier go to war if you running your trap
About my girls ain't no thing to put you under the map

Walk the streets five deep with nothing less than a stack"

:beli:

Had lil thirteen year old gurls bumping and singing this nonsense on the regular :unimpressed:

They literally asking for a tupac in a buisness suit in the lyrics :unimpressed:

This was the beginning of Babylon :unimpressed:

I was gonna make a thread on this one day but didn't think cats noticed it.

This is accurate

Sad to say

But black women and men on a whole with the exception of the minority look up to these entertainers and try to put their feet into their shoes

Destiny child I need a soldier to Beyoncé all the single ladies had sisters thinking how they should move is like them when neither of them singers move like that

Same goes with nikkas talking about how they going to move like Jay or any other popular rapper..

nikkas can hate all they want but nikkas really want to live like celebrities and athletes

Beyonce has way more elegance, even when stopping down to these hoes levels. She can talk bout ratchet shyt without even having to sound ratchet or having to be overly explicit. One part is the music/theme, the other part is imagination/vocabulary when it comes time to find the right things to say. She handles both fairly well. Way better than the average
