this i can agree on, destiny's child came along at the right time when the other girl groups were fading. they had better contracts and recorded through the era when everyone was selling millions of albums (98-04). nothing they ever did touches tlc, swv, xscape, total, or en vogue.

madonna has always been excellent at picking the right music at the right time.

when house music was still primarily a gay black thing in chicago and new york, she came out with vogue at the perfect time and basically shifted house music into the mainstream, that track was very important to what you are seeing today. granted todays house music sounds more like fukking trance, thats beside my point.

madonna has shockingly been relevant for 30 plus years. she shifted to guys like BT and the like in the early 2000's and did it again when everyone thought it was over for her. i aint gonna lie, songs like borderline and "music" still go hard today. the basic premise of madonnas songs is where her appeal lies.

as popular as beyonce is it wont be until literally 2025 that well know if she has madonnas longevity. In her prime Madonna was the showman and performer as well. im not gonna get too much into "who can sing better" because at this level it really doesnt matter. if things were about pure talent there would be 20 adeles and literally maybe 3 or 4 beyonces.

She's a very good entertainer, singing and dancing her a$$ off at the same time at the level she does is pretty incredible. Even MJ lip synced 90% of his performances but i can't call her a great performer yet because how many times can you puzzy pop? All her performances are the same, i didn't get the hype around her superbowl performance, it was basically what she does at every show + bigger budget.

As an artist she sucks plain and simple, it seems people don't know the difference in being an entertainer and being an artist. You don't write sh!t or produce sh!t or create anything you ain't an artist you a performer, this is why i rate our rap legends over singing legends 90% of the time. Even if she did write her music, it's incredibly generic, shallow & stupid & rarely something to take pride in. Whoever said she only has 3 great solo songs is correct.
