Am I the only one who wonders why people keep saying she's the biggest star in the world? Rihannna has more #1 songs, in fact Beyonce hasn't had one in awhile...plus it's not like her albums are selling crazy numbers anymore. She's not doing JT or Adele numbers...

It seems like people have just decided she's the queen of everything, for no reason. She got a bunch of grammy's since her albums sold better than other people's back in the early 2000s, but now? I don't get it...

Mary is on a higher level. And thats not being bitter. Thats being a fan of real talent who didnt ever sell out on a pop level.

I understand what you are trying to say here, but in my opinion, most beyonce songs sound the same to me, love on top is a whitney houston type track and for me personally, it sounds like shes screaming her way through every song. im not a singer, while i can play piano and saxaphone and make a couple of beats, im not a singer but to me i dont agree, adele, keyes, hudson, scott are all better singers to me, but thats me.

But Bey is number 1 though. She still in her prime & she has the total package that's why. She has looks, can dance, sings great, puts on a great show. She's the most versatile female artist out right now...only Fantasia can do what Bey does but on a much smaller scale & it doesn't 'look' anywhere near as close to professional as Bey.

Her material suffers because of this, when you can do so much well...you will try to do that. It has always lacked IMO...I don't count that against Bey because I like variety.

The only songs that register is 'Crazy in Love' & 'Party' all the rest are good to decent.

RiRi is nothing more than a pop artist...I don't consider her at all. She has no ballads that can move you. Her voice isn't great...lacks the ability to emote. Her live shows are poor. Music is dope, but mostly trashy.

Star power is more than hit songs and selling albums. There are artists that don't sell an insane amount of albums, but are still huge draws based solely on star power. Look at Madonna, she's still one of the biggest stars in the world and hasn't had a #1 hit or had a huge selling album in a while.

There are artists who will always be huge regardless of hit songs and album sales.
