In the 90's there was this moment when Farrakhan brought out Elijah Muhammads "wives" to the public...Farrakhan got criticism behind this because they were saying that it was the grand cover up to all the past speculation. Once all these woman started cooperating all speculations went out the window because now there was new testimony. Its kinda like a witness getting on the stand and changing their story. Bottom line, once this day happened all past speculation switched up...LOL...even ya'll refered to them as "wives" but before this day they weren't addressed as that.

Are u paying attention? I just said it was a "cover up"......Thats me saying that we will never know the truth because the "wives" were now cooperating. All speculation got shut down once the same "wives" who threw Elijah Mihammad under the bus started "cooperating."

The NOI has done a lot of good things for black people and because of that I would never slander the organization but after all these years are folks gonna front as if the NOI is not a black empowerment organization fronting as a religious sect that diverges from traditional Islam? It’s the equivalent of the Mormon Church to Christianity. Many of my own folks didn’t even pay attention or know much about Malcolm X because they immediately dismissed the NOI viewing Elijah Muhammad as a black cult leader, along with the Father Divines or Sweet Daddy Graces of the black community. I’m actually surprised with the growing presence of Islam that they are still pushing the Fard Muhummad/Elijah Muhammad beliefs.

We got extended relatives down in GA into that Sweet Daddy shyt and we look at them just as crazy. Crazy part is they are the nicest people you would ever meet.

As an agnostic, what's the difference between what you're accusing the NOI of believing and what the black Christian or white evangelical community believes? All that shyt is spiritually hollow. The fact that the NOI actually does great worldly things that, you know, matter and make a difference, sets them apart IMO. They have my ultimate respect. Sure they believe some crazy unworldly shyt, but believing crazy unworldly shyt is embedded in all religions. At least they aren't passive and just waiting to be forgiven for their sins and going to heaven, choosing rather to actually try to enact change in the mindsets of black men here on earth, and actually put boots on the ground to help protect and progress their people gets my salute over other religious denominations.
