of course the usual suspects will try to spin this but how is he wrong? Everyone across the globe saw the video in an instant and that spawned worldwide outrage across the globe.. marches in other nations and finger pointing for the United States to "do better"

Social media has brought the world closer than ever before.

usual suspects will jump through hoops to say he meant this or that..

You need to read Dr. Kings speech on Vietnam and then put it into context of geo world politics after his death...Also read about the fair housing act and why it passed...George Floyd's death didnt change any major legislation in this country or effect international politics that Kings death did...You mothafukkas disgust me with your non understanding of history...and this is why crackers like Joe Biden can come in and deceive our people time and time again smh

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
how many other countries had riots/protests because of mlk?
:francis:

how many of the mlk protests/riots happened in white neighborhoods?

im just saying... the impact of george floyd was larger.... social media and the internet made it so

How many people were getting unemployment, ppp loans and stimulus checks? How many people had hella time on their hands and wasn't working?

The world was in the midst of a pandemic, with nothing better to do.

The civil rights movement was more serious. Jim Crow laws were abolished only 3 years before King was killed. Racism in 1968 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> George Floyd.

Trying to marginalized the Civil Rights era is retarded. But Biden basically exposed cac like Biden a long time ago.

the question was never "was it harder to protest in the 60's or 2000's"

the question was which one had a larger impact....

social media and the internet spread the current movement through more cities, ethnicities, people, and nations...

this cant even be argued....

Impact?? You’re comparing something who’s lasted decades to something that lasted a year :mjlol:

What lasting impact has the George Floyd incident had?? Just videos and memories because all those calls for defunding the police have already been squashed.

What legislation has been passed directly because of this? Anything of actual significance? Because I'm unaware of anything besides election cycle posturing happening :hubie:

This is important because while legislation was drafted, nothing was approved through Senate. So nothing..

you're telling me that if you removed all the work mlk did in his life...

that just his assassination led to everything that happened decades later?
:gucci:

george floyd just died on camera and had the whole world in an uproad.... more protests and riots than mlk's assassination
more changes in policing...etc

you gotta be kidding me...

stop comparing the entire civil rights era to just the deaths

So on the King Holiday, he says George Floyds death had a bigger impact than Kings assassination, even though they failed to pass the George Floyd Act. I guess to him, we're all the same.
This is from June 2020...
TPM is a right wing rag trying to make you think he said it on MLK day.

Not a smart thing to say regardless.
