because that's how tobacco, big oil, check cashing and every other predatory industry in the country takes advantage of citizens at their own expense
You're not going to beat tobacco dollar for dollar and we shouldn't have to. Meanwhile health insurance costs, 2nd hand deaths, and other cost that are a result of tobacco increase the cost of living...

Yeah I believe if you want to do coke that's on you as long as you are given all the available info and if you harm someone else you pay for it same with cigarettes.

Did you miss where I said as long as the effort is made to make people fully aware how harmful they are? If you are an adult and are given all the info I believe you should have the right to make your own decision. That's not predatory. Now when the tobacco companies were allowed to lie that was sure not like I disagree with that lol. People will always do harm to themselves I'm liberal but don't agree with banning drugs and other vices. If that triggers you then sorry.

If cigarettes only effected the smoker I would maybe agree with you but they don't. I don't think taxpayers should have to shoulder the burden of education, health insurance, and all the other associated costs that smoking cigarettes creates. I also would care less care if it wasn't overwhelmingly aimed at my community.

in theory, im fine with them forcing companies to stop making it, but i absolutely am opposed to enforcement against regular people, which will give police more reason to harm vulnerable populations.
