back to the office but institute a 4 day work week.
They trialed this in Iceland, New Zealand and it was an overwhelming success:
Four-day week 'an overwhelming success' in Iceland - BBC News
Trials of a four-day week in Iceland were an "overwhelming success" and led to many workers moving to shorter hours, researchers have said.

The trials, in which workers were paid the same amount for shorter hours, took place between 2015 and 2019.

Productivity remained the same or improved in the majority of workplaces, researchers said.

That means it will never happen in America. You’re talking about a country where you literally can’t afford to be sick, where there’s a lack of funding for transport because the motor/aviation industry have politicians in their back pockets.

Why have happy workers when you could simply make them miserable and squeeze every hour out of them for as little as possible? It’s the American Way. :francis:

I read some shyt that only 3% of white collar workers are willing to return to office. How would any company spin this to benefit the employee without everybody walking out.

The morale would be below zero and the last thing any boss wants, are a bunch of angry workers willing to quit, or physically harm, them during work.

:banderas:Being black and not having to deal with corny WHITE workplace politics.

I could never go back in to the office.

:russ:

Ppl on here rushing back for passive aggressive racism, Metoo situations, micromanagement or an ego boost to boss ppl around.

Must have boring households, boring partner, kids are annoying or something. Maybe miss seeing their side piece.

:mjlol:

I’m confused on how ppl are so thirsty to go back. Have fun with those gas prices & poor weather conditions.

All of the above. The worst part of working is having to interact with people you would not otherwise.

People want to mingle and mix..Espicially women..

Big city moving and shaking is where the unexpected happens as far as deals and networking go

If you trying to level up, NOTHING replaces being in someone's face and putting your stamp down in the trenches..

I don't care how good your "numbers" are, if you not 10 toes down where the action is, those promotions gonna pass you by..:yeshrug:

This is the type of bullshyt that promotes "I like the cut of his jib" nonsense which mostly certain cacs benefit from to get in management positions. Working from home does not stop anyone from putting in work, having impact and showing leadership ability. These are the main things that should be considered when leveling up. Having to be in someone face just promotes bias.

Pros to WFH:

  • Not having to iron my clothes every morning/ night before.
  • I save two hours on not having to commute.
  • I save money that I don’t spend on travel, food, haircuts etc.
  • I get extra hours in bed.
  • Home life balance has improved.
  • I don’t have to interact with nosey, gossipy, passive aggressive CACs.
  • I get more chores done at home.
  • I haven’t been sick once because I’m not around coughing/sneezing dirty commuters.
  • I get more time to go to the gym.
  • I have time to prepare and cook fresh food.
  • I can indulge in other hobbies at home.
  • I see my girlfriend more often.
Cons to WFH:
  • I see my girlfriend more often.
Pros To Working in An Office:
  • I get to perv from the sidelines looking at the young talent.
Cons to working in an office:
  • Everything.

as long as there are mortgages and car notes and families to be provided for nobody is walking out of anything. tough talk is about as far as about 95% of the people will go.

the same way people said that those taking the vaccine would be in a wonderful position to advance their careers at the expense of those who refused, this situation is no different. those who refuse to go back into the office will lose their jobs, setting up those who are willing to with the opportunity to step in and advance. Justice in action.

Why are you a corporate bootstraps bootlickers, that like office politics CACs? :leostare:

People with responsibilities are not going back to the old status quo. Whoever try to spread lies about that, obviously is scared of the TRUTH. Even some (progressive) companies know that the morale of their employees and the best/most dedicated workers are on the line, and taking away WFH could destroy their structures inside out.

Yall think Republicans are going to fight for yall to work from home? Think it'll be better once you hit the Democrats with that red wave? :pachaha:

The entire system is broken from top to bottom. These old heads have got to go.

Facts.

Been time for a new movement.

Only problem is, most people will be shamed into voting Dem no matter what when voting comes around so it’s a moot point.

No one Black wants to voluntarily go into the white office place and play those games when there’s a better way. Calling someone white is probably a sign

Or maybe you’re making an assumption. Why would any of my pros have to do with what benefits the company? My productivity has remained the same, so it would’ve been redundant of me to comment on it.

You’re obviously speaking from the perspective of management, hence your pro-office stance. That’s not a dig, just an observation.
Didn’t I outright acknowledge I was making an assumption? :lolbron:
Your observation is correct. I’m a partner at a small law firm. My compensation is 100% profit sharing. We have an employee who works 100% from home and she is phenomenal. Mostly everyone does some type of hybrid. For me though? I just cannot be productive at home. I need to be in the office.
