Even if Biden doesn't forgive the loans the least he can do is allow students to write it off in bankruptcy which you could do up until the Bush II administration.

yup. schools are institutions with thousands of people that work in them. they get paid by these tuitions and loans. it was really irresponsible to let things get out of control like this.

it's similar to how big medical institution workers don't vote for universal healthcare because their job is based on the existing infrastructure. so even if it makes sense to them, in the short term they have to protect their livlihood.

That's why I give the government shyt for not only creating a lot of the problems currently in this country, but allowing it to grow and fester without any sort of interference. No way that student loans and the rent crisis would be in its current state if the government didn't step in years ago. Now those same people that helped create the problem are in charge of coming up with a solution.

We know why they didn't care to solve the problem though as it would take money out of a lot of people's pockets.

Child support obligations also cannot be discharged through the bankruptcy process.
