No he didn’t lol

all eyez on me liftetime sales were 5 million as of 2011

the only reason it’s diamond because double albums count as 2

so in 1996 with all eyez on me and Makaveli he probably sold like 2-3 million
im counting MATW which was certified double plat in dec 95 and Aeom and Makaveli

AEOM was a double album. sales were x2. So technically, 10 million was really 5 million.

exactly took 15 years to sell 5 million

but it took the camel less than 2 years to sell 5 million

this notion that pac dominated 1996 is cap

no doubt he was the top guy but Nas was not to far off

He said "dominate" and Fugees were a powerhouse in 96 selling more then Pac because double albums count as two so Pac didn't dominate 96 while alive. He shared it with The Fugees.
Soundscan still counts double albums as one purchase and they still counted AOEM as the best selling rap album of 1996 before and after he died.

Also, the Fugees album was a hybrid much more geared towards a pop/R&B audience with 2 singles being full blown covers of an R&B and Reggae classic.

It's like claiming DMX and Jay didn't dominate hip hop in 1998 cause of The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.

Remember the topic is comparing Pac to MJ and none of what you just said takes away from the fact that Pac did not dominate 96 while alive. He shared it with The Fugees ( LOL @ you attempting to flip their genre as a means of trying to take points away). You can't be MJ status and share the most successful year in your career with another entity with just as much spotlight that same year as well as big album sales.
