I feel like he's got one foot firmly in "the point of no return" area.
Just a couple years ago as AJ/Dolphs bodyguard it seemed like he had a future once he broke away, whenever that would be. He's a big powerful guy, w/ charisma, a good "look" to be successful as a wrestler, was the NXT champ. Eventually he broke away and he gained fan support enough to become a CREDIBLE Intercont'l Champ.
But somewhere during his IC title reign he somehow became an afterthought So much so that I(most of us) knew he was gonna lose the belt to Barrett w/o question.
Now his "feud" w/ Rusev, the gimmicky preacher voice.....they're just grasping at straws now to put something on face-ish him. But he's at a point now where he's "just there" & fans don't care.
Whereas just a year or so ago it seemed like the company really liked him

.. big e is no different he has gone down hill since getting the I.C. belt..luckily Ambrose survived since he was in the shield though
..they did the same with him.. gave him the u.s. title and just forgot he even had it
