I was there too and we talked about him up here bruh, I can't speak for your experience but I know mine. Big East basketball was a religion for nikkas that grew up in the 90s where I'm from, we didn't just talk about one season and leave it at that. nikkas still talk about Big Dog at Purdue and they never made it to a Final Four either.

Big East basketball was a religion for nikkas that grew up in the 90s where I'm from, we didn't just talk about one season and leave it at that. nikkas still talk about Big Dog at Purdue and they never made it to a Final Four either.

My only point is they weren’t as dominant in the 90s as they were in the 80s.

They became dominant again in the mid to late aughts as well.

Good for G’Town. For as much as folks are nostalgic about St. John’s, you’d think they were damn near blue blood status. Program has zero titles, 2 FF appearances (1985) and 6 elite 8 appearance (1999).
