The actual interview is here. Gates’ answer is much more nuanced than the Tweet indicates. In a response to a University of Chicago student’s question on spinning off Bing and Xbox, Gates says both make more sense as part of Microsoft and fit the broader long-term strategy for the company.

When Claman asks Gates directly whether he would support Nadella spinning off Xbox he answers, “Absolutely.”

That sounds more like support for Nadella than support for spinning off the console division.

I'm expecting Comcast to buy Xbox. Especially after I heard that Microsoft is slowing down shipments so retailers can catch up on their own stocks. I'm expecting a E3 price drop and maybe a new partner.
