I've heard most of BIG L's sh*t so a lot of it was just rehashed to be on the album but regardless i like the idea for the new generation to see what L is capable of. Like someone said earlier a lot of these we're on mixtapes or radio freestyles and it's good that it found a home because they do tend to get lost within time. The crazy thing to me is that a lot of L's sh*t sounds like it was recorded during 93-95. Did he not put in any work around 95-99? it's always mind boggling that we didn't get a more "upgraded" version of him the same way we did with BIG where you saw his growth from 94 to 97

Most if not all of the 95-99 stuff made it to The Big Picture & the 1st DITC album. There wasn't really an evolution in his style. He was so polished for his debut that only references changed.

Yeah I peeped around the 3rd time I ran it back it. His voice still sounds good for somebody that pretty much fell back from rap going on like 25 years

I was relieved that the Joe Budden “appearance” was just him talking about L I like how the freestyles were polished but it’s definitely making me want to revisit the OG versions, I can’t wait to finish up the first listen
