Pun fukking was warpspeeding into another dimension. He really let his nuts hang on this shyt.

In retrospect, when you hear stories about Pun, and take into account the number of collabs he had in his short span, it feels like he was head hunting the best in the game.

He begged Joe to make this song happen. He was tryna set up a Biggie collab but he died before it happened. It’s low-key hilarious to hear about how Pun would get sad about Canibus curbing him and no-showing.

I think Nore pointed out that he ran to Hot 97 when Nore, X, and Canibus were up there, and they wouldn’t let him in. Son loved this shyt.

The fact that nas had 2 cracks at having a better verse than pun on this track and still whiffing just tell you how hard pun’s verse was:banderas:

Pun the GOAT period :stopitslime:

Capital punishment is in my top 5-10 fav albums OAT

I think he doesn't get celebrated like he should because he Spanish nikkas be having the nerve to say L was better :russ:

Could you imagine if he lived dudes call Em a culture vulture what ya'll think they would've said about him?

It comes down to impact too. Biggie's style was so smooth. Pac had the political shyt but also had songs that people could party to.

Imagine having a bytch over and making her listen to big pun :dead: he had like 2 songs that would still be questionable to play

Naw that's bullshyt it's cause he Spanish if he was black we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Not even true. Nobody ever questioned puns race. Revisionist history. Idk where you're from but im from NY and black people loved pun just as much as anyone. This some new internet shyt. And Pun is in my top 3 OAT.

people can fight all they want
but pun was in a league of his own above most artists

he didnt rap over some wild already famous production besides twins if you wanna bring up 1 or 2 songs.... he could do the battle shyt but he could craft albums from the ground up
alot of artists rely on networking and a crutch. Pun was nice over whatever and writing great shyt

in defense of those posse cuts its too hard to judge when everyone came nice (pause)

you never know who lays their shyt first or what direction someone is gonna take it

ive bodied cats off the strength of going 2nd on a track and letting off

and ive been bodied on tracks giving people references and letting them plan around what I put down
