Great question. Hence the reason I said hip hop needed this. Everyone should be in it to be the best, Kendrick just made a lot of nikkas feel terrible for not even attempting to be great.I wonder how rappers who are on the whole "I'm not lyrical, I just make fun music for people to dance to" steez feel when things like this happen?
Like, they know they'd be laughed off the face of the Earth by their own fans if they even try to jump into the conversation.
Like...how do they just survive not being able to competitively compete in the genre like that? How do they feel?

who did he mention?
thats the same thing everybody thought about nas vs jay. that jay was more built for the battle shyt and nas was just a storyteller and shyt like that. but they forgot that nas is a great mind no matter what. and kendrick is from that same school. he can be on the deep intellectual shyt but you can see that he's capable of killing somebody if need be. this was just a jab...just to show a glimpse of what can happen, and all his peers know it. deep down they know he wouldn't have put this out there if he wasn't 100% ready for the challenge. kendrick on his heisenberg "tread lightly" shyt.
