This shyt was good. Not the best or nothing but good.

Lyrically this album was really lazy. Especially for someone like Sean who always has punchlines and metaphors in his features (I didn't like Sean before this album). Honestly if he payed as much attention to his wordplay as he did his flow and delivery he would of jumped up a level in my book and surpassed J. Cole. Right now Cole is a little better cause he's a little more well-rounded but Big Sean could body him on a collab.

The good parts were how well the songs were crafted where they were actually songs. The beats and Sean was about getting to the point and letting you know what he was saying. I was surprised by MILF and fukking love that song, that shyt was comedy and good execution. Overall I liked this and will check out Detroit again cause before his pipsqueak voice bothered the fukk out of me but I think I'm used to it by now. Noticed a lot of Drake influence. :salute: the Money Trees flow on 10 2 10

Sean said that he purposely didn't want to overrap is bars on this album like he does on features. This album was more about him getting his stories across.

I don't know man I really liked the flow on some of those tracks and if he had that wittyness I knew him for it would have put him on a new level. The lyrics were really simple on this. I'm not trying to hate cause I liked the album but I hate when a rapper holds back, especially when it's one of his trademarks, like Pac without emotion or Nas without lyrics.

Still gonna check out Detroit though cause I never gave it a chance.

Off first listen, Detroit was much better.

There weren't any compelling songs or bonafide hits. Except for the last couple tracks he wasn't as 'personal' as advertised. I think Sean is pandering to the masses and it ain't really work.

Fire, 10 2 10 (for the beat mostly), Toyota Music, Mona Lisa, Sierra Leone were the best tracks. Guap was too despite being a bonus.

And for those who must compare, Born Sinner >>> Hall of Fame.

EDIT: Beware and All Figured Out are cool also. The good songs are good, the ehh songs are EHHH.

Man this was stinky. I'll keep Beware and Guap but the rest of this seems like it's on the way to the recycle bin.

Okay, I finally have listened to this enough to give my opinion.

Album is weak, very weak. Not saying it's wack, but when you compare it to Sean's last 2 projects, its not good. I understand where he wanted to go with "Milf", but the execution was wrong. Nicki's verse was terrible & so was the chorus.

The album itself seems like it needs to be played with the bass up to fully grasp the production. I fukks with First chain, You Don't Know, Nothing Is Stopping Us, Fire & All Figured Out. Call me crazy, but I like Beware for some reason :manny:

And for people saying that this album was better than Born Sinner, you're bugging.
