I'm not convinced that it doesn't exist, necessarily. Rather, it's impossible to detect and random clustering is usually a better, more accurate explanation.

The basic idea of momentum is that past/recent events can and do effect the future/immediately proceeding events....a concept I consider entirely bunk.

Sure, you can practice football all you want from a young age but you still gotta have natural born talent like Messi and Ronaldo to reach the top.

The GOAT football players, Pele, Maradona, Ronaldinho, Messi etc. are all short with average physiques.

That futbol's place as the #1 global sport is permenant....in reality, basketball has just as few barriers to entry, and the different ways and combinations you can play (5 on 5, 3 on 3, 2 on 2, 1 on 1, 21, half court, full court, HORSE..on dirt...pavement...hardwood...driveway, street...in your bedroom on the back of the door...etc) make it a SIGNIFICANTLY more accessible sport than soccer.

Hoops will surpass futbol before I die, and Olympic basketball will trump a world cup in cultural significance within 50 years.

Basketball is dominated by too many blacks, which turns non-black people off. It will never surpass soccer. Also, basketball players are too tall, so that turns people off too. Average man is nowhere near 6'3 and up. So playing basketball for the average person isn't even plausible.

This is untrue. The number of good QBs in the league is at an all-time high. The average passer rating has creeped up too. QBs are as good as ever but defenses are too.

Second, basketball being a more accessible sport than soccer is easily the stupidest sports related thing I've read in 2015.

I've been playing soccer and basketball since the time I can walk, and soccer is a far more accessible sport. You dont even need a ball, you can make your own. And the goal post can just be markers or shirts.
