DPG and Snoop Dogg always said it wasn't a diss song, which it wasn't in a literal sense. It was more of a sneak diss song however

Word yup Cease was also lying on Angie because he tried to say Biggie didn’t feel no way about her interviewing Pac cause he was on some “cool whatever” shyt cause he really loved Pac and before she put Cease on the line she told Fat Joe that she PERSONALLY knows Biggie was feeling a way about it. They got on wit Cease nikka straight up lied about it and that shyt was basically confirmation of how these nikkas been moving for years in a nutshell. I was happy as hell that Busta called Cease out on all that CAP because Cease was really tryna run wit this “Biggie never responded..” shyt and all Cease could do was laugh and be like “yea it was smooth tho..” or some bullshyt like that. Smh.
Funny enough I can’t find the video on YouTube anymore :patrice::mjlol:

Main difference between Pac & BIG was just that Pac talked too much. BIG didn’t talk a lot but when he did speak up people listened. That’s why when he made one comment on the air shyt went down. :manny: BIG was on that Brooklyn shyt like his man Fame

There was no effort to delete all this shyt.. Nobody knew to save it. It's just like all the hip hop magazines. There's 150 of them, but lets just take The Source.. All them decades of magazines, interviews, articles... Gems that were said. Beefs that were talked about.. All the things we discuss, was on full display, in real time..........

Yet you can't find none of that shyt online. Most you can do is buy a used hard copy of the magazine, IF you find one. I can look up any Playboy, in full HD PDF, from forever, but can't find the 1998 Source with DMX, Jay and Ja doing full interviews and talking about each other before multiple beefs. I'll tell someone a story about an article that exactly answers a question, and they won't believe me, cause I can't find it online. This goes for radio, tv and most things hip hop. We never bothered to catalogue and save the shyt as legendary moments. Think how many classic radio freestyles nikkas had. Going to all 50 states doing promo runs, when radio wanted you to come up and spit a 16 on EVERY station. And it better not be the same lyrics...... GONE

I hope the next gen learns a lesson.. I mean we can't even find the Ras Kass video

Truth... artists used to come thru and rhyme on the radio ALL THE TIME like it was nothing... and unless you were able to catch it on tape, you missed it. Even the stuff that has popped up online from that time, there's tons more that hasn't.

I'm sure Big and them had been on Hot 97 a million times in the mid-90s, so it ain't like it was some epic thing that had to be captured. Puff used to be on there sometimes hosting on random Saturday afternoons nshyt, it was the norm.

It would be dope, though, if someone could show up with audio of it just so people could know for sure what was said and not just put words in peoples' mouths. A lot of that goes on when it comes to these sorts of things.

MEANWHILE. The whole time them nikkas back n forth in LA hangin wit SSCC nikkas. Coming back to NYC. Biggie penning songs for Lil Kim dissing Faith and Pac. Asking a bunch of rappers to form like Voltron to diss Pac behind the scenes. Puff dissin nikkas on mixtapes. Biggie hoppin on the radio gettin DPG shyt shot up. Biggie dissin E40 in a magazine and almost gettin his ass lit up out in Bay cause them nikkas set up a fake concert for the nikka and E40 stoppin the shyt from happening. See it’s a difference between silent and SNEAKY. My nikka. Them nikkas was sneaky. NOT silent.

:mindblown:

da hell is sneaky about going to Cali & hanging with SSC
da hell is sneaky about having Kim return the diss made at her
who ask to form a bunch of rappers like Voltron to diss your man ?
da hell is sneaky about Puff clapping back on a mixtape
da hell is sneaky about getting on Hot 97 saying i know we ain’t gonna allow these hating azz nikkaz come to our city to film a diss video ?
da hell is sneaky about getting asked to rate a bunch of rappers & a nikka fan base gets in their feels because of the score he got ?

I think you confusing sneaky with another word ... cause everything u posted - none of that shyt applies

New York wasn’t a diss song at all. Now after the shooting incident they went back to LA and finished the rest of the video where you see snoop kicking down the buildings.

Before the incident, It was just a lyrical miracle track by kupurt showcasing his MC skills. Ode to NY style hip hop.

U know what’s sneaky about it? Going to the public and acting like the other side is just buggin and Yall ain’t saying nothing. Y’all don’t want no problems. Meanwhile instigating behind the scenes. Them nikkas was NEVER silent. They was sneaky and subliminal. So all that breaking silence shyt is a dub. But it don’t matter. If Biggie had beef wit Jesus u would feel like Jesus was wrong. Lol

Biggie's St. Ides commercial had the same beat as Tha Dogg Pound's New York, New York and DJ Pooh produced both

Biggie got on the radio and said 2Pac + Tha Dogg Pound are in New York shooting a video disrespecting New York and "someone needs to do something about it" which was completely wrong, it was Snoop Doggy Dogg + Tha Dogg Pound and it wasn't a dis.

Someone on a rooftop shot at Snoop's trailer multiple times when it had the whole DPGC in it and when Snoop + Tha Dogg Pound got back to LA, they added the knocking down buildings CGI

Biggie 100% instigated it
