Name ONE THING, one program, ONE social act to help those in the hood..... I'm not talking about donations to those greedy HBCU investors. I'm not talking about his program he made after his son got killed... nor some damn children's program. ONE THING in which help made progress in the hood... those same hoods he's chastising about? NAME ONE within the past two decades. nikka ain't even done shyt for his own peoples in Philly.

And still you couldn't dismiss the FACT he was lying ass hypocrite when he did the Pound Cake speech when he ended up being exposed as a dope pusher (yes, pushing Quaalude, and other dope substances to people is no different from the dealer on the block), an adulterer, and accused sex offender. He of ALL people had no room to talk.

But y'all trying to defend him like he's the POPE which is ironic .

Before the media coverage targeting him as the most hated man in America, Bill Cosby was one of the most the generous benefactors to a number of colleges. He and wife Camille made a rather large donation to both Spelman College and Fisk University. In 1988, Cosby donated $20 million to Spelman and $1.3 million to Fish University. By 1994, the Cosby’s had donated more than $70 million to various HBCU’s.

Seems like you're the one making the excuses my brotha. And it is sad. I thought only a small collective be on that Don Lemon, Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Bill Cosby mindset. But it appears it is more than I have imagined.
Nope spare me the hoe shyt brother. I'm on that accountability shyt and if that's what all them dudes I don't give a fukk about outside of what they do on the court/tv, don't fukk with Lemon so be it. Excuse making dudes like you hold people back with y'all's coddling. As a whole lives of excuse makers in general is usually a testament that y'all's ways don't work outside of gaining sympathy from other excuse makers.

Everywhere...You never there.
That was one community. That's like assuming modern day Atlanta is every Black city or town in America. It's not nor did Black wall Street have freedom.

The last place with freedom was California in the 1800s till Cacs found gold and killed all of the Black residents in a massive genocide. In 1840, the Black population was 5 million compared to 400 cacs. They found gold and the rest is in the books. Best believe Queen Califia is seeking revenge lIke most AA

you know that during the late 19th century, Reconstruction Era blacks were elected into legislative positions at a rate that went unrivalled for quite some time?

you do know about Durham and Wilmington NC's flourishing black owned business bloc during the late 19th century ?

Right?

Attack on Bill Cosby is no laughing matter

“They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, hoping to take my life.” – Psalm 56:6

The left is viciously attacking Bill Cosby, and there’s nothing funny about it.

Last month, stand-up comedian and former “Saturday Night Live” writer Hannibal Buress unleashed a hate-filled tirade about Cosby, calling him a “rapist” during a performance in Cosby’s hometown of Philadelphia.

Buress, a black comic, mocked the 77-year-old Emmy and Grammy-winning entertainer: “‘Pull your pants up, black people. I was on TV in the ’80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom (‘The Cosby Show’).’ Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby. So, brings you down a couple notches.”

The attack on Cosby was shocking, and it was the opening salvo of many more attacks to come.

Is there any truth to allegations of rape by Bill Cosby? Sound off in the WND Poll.

Last week, Cosby tweeted, asking fans to create memes using a selection of photos of him. Fans were encouraged to add humorous captions to go along with portraits of the comedian, but instead, haters responded with tweets and captions like: “MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS – JELLO PUDDING & RAPE.”

Then, Barbara Bowman, a woman who claims that while she was under the tutelage of Cosby, he drugged and “raped” her, aired her unproven allegations by penning an op-ed in the Washington Post headlined: “Bill Cosby raped me. Why did it take 30 years for people to believe my story?”

Maybe it’s because you never filed a police report. Or could it be because you waited 30 years to make your allegations known?

Unproven allegations against Cosby are being aired during primetime on CNN.

But why now?

First, Cosby has made national news for publicly airing black America’s “dirty laundry.” And black people hate for other blacks to criticize them in front of whites.

In 2008, he told a black audience, “We’re killing ourselves. We’re making fools of ourselves.” He took black parents to task who spend more money on sneakers than they do on their kids’ education, and allow them to bring “street-corner” language into their homes.

And Cosby ripped black “leaders” who took issue with the blunt manner in which he delivered his message.

The liberal elite power brokers in the Democratic Party can’t allow Cosby’s call for responsibility to get a foothold in the black community because it threatens the powerful grip they have on black voters.

Since the professional blame merchants want to keep the focus off black failure and blame white America, Cosby has been scapegoated as a “sell-out.” But now they’ve found another issue they can use to try and discredit and destroy the man – and, therefore, the message – of black responsibility.

Radical feminists are notorious for accusing American men of supporting a “rape culture.” They automatically accuse anyone who questions or challenges a woman’s allegations as “blaming” or “shaming” the victim. Therefore, it’s almost impossible for men to discuss or effectively defend themselves against accusations of rape.

Bill Cosby has been fighting accusations of sexual assault for more than three decades. Cosby has never been charged with rape in a court of law, but settled a civil lawsuit out of court in 2004.

In a statement posted online, Attorney John P. Schmitt, a lawyer for Bill Cosby, said the comedian will not dignify “decade-old, discredited” allegations of sexual abuse with any comment. He also said the fact that the allegations are being repeated does not make them true.

Tell that to members of the mainstream media who are shamelessly promoting his accuser’s story.

I don’t know if the allegations against Cosby are true, but the man has never stood trial or been convicted in a court of law; therefore, he deserves the benefit of the doubt. His accuser should have brought charges against him or sued him years ago. Now she needs to move on. Instead, she’s seeking publicity and pushing for legislation that would make sure that statutes against rape allegations never expire.

The timing of the accusations is also questionable.

Bill Cosby is working on a new TV series for NBC, described as a “classic, extended-family sit com” with Cosby as the patriarch.

His accuser told the Daily Mail that NBC needs to “take a good hard look at [her allegations]” because working with the comedian is “a little bit on the irresponsible side.”

Could it be that Cosby’s accuser is aligned with the man-hating feminists who want to destroy Cosby’s traditional patriarchal image?

Cosby is not the only person to be attacked for airing the black community’s dirty laundry. In fact, economist and author Ben Stein recently stirred up a hornet’s nest when he said,”The real problem with race in America is a very, very beaten-down, pathetic, self-defeating black underclass that just can’t seem to get its way going …”

Clearly, the people of the lie hate truth and will seek out the messengers of truth for destruction. But the people of truth have a responsibility to come to the aid of their brothers and sisters. Otherwise, the jackals will only be emboldened each time they bring down another prey.

I am fully aware of Durham. He'll been there over 40 times as well as other successful cities but they were far and few. I am simply saying, these were the exception, not the rule.

Black people listen to, too much of that Hip-Hop and sag their jeans.
They're just modern day slaves dependent on their government massa.
Matter of fact, if blacks collectively dropped Hip-Hop, got off government assistance,
switched to wholesome All American names instead of "Jaquan" and "Lashell" and left this "Thug Culture".
we'd be better off.

Too much lil Wayne not enough reading rainbow.

While I'm at it :
Trayvon shouldn't have worn a hoodie.
Mike brown shouldn't have stole from a store.
Freddie Gray shouldn't have had a pocket knife.
Tamir Rice should've been playing with a G.I. Joe
Eric Garner shouldn't have been selling cigarettes like a common thug
and had a REAL JOB, like a patriot that wasn't on the Democratic Plantation.
Jordan Davis should've just turned his ignorant thug music down.
Sandra Bland should've just been a white woman.

Am I doing it right brehs ?

People who get offended never look at it in a community perspective. Especially when they grew up with lacking accountability and blaming everyone else for their shortcomings in life.
Black people just need to start pulling themselves up by their bootstraps.

Income inequality ? Load of B.S. !
Socioeconomic status being difficult to change ? A TOTAL LIE.
America being some utopian meritocracy predicated on capitalism and survival
of the fittest ? FACTS.

Black community just has to many thugs and welfare queens with a lack of accountability
filling their heads with hoop dreams or hopes of rap careers. :scust:

Didnt see anything wrong with what he said..

When you think about the consequences of your action you tend to think twice bout what you did..

the discipline i got from my Nigerian parents made me wary of things i did...u still messed up, A LOT.. shyt i did double work making sure my parents never found out bout some shyt... but its true when you think about the embarrassment to your parents and communities you really do tend to slow down..

and thats the problem these days... people dont care who they offend.. that whole ''my body my mistakes'' bullshyt needs to go..

you commit a crime, EVERYONE suffers, not just you but everyone is too self centred..

Yeah being judged on the content of your character is such a ridiculous concept.
If some other black person committed a crime of any kind, you should be judged by their actions
Doubly so if you're related to them !

y'all can miss me with the tough love crap. i'd rather have more pants saggin, ebonic speaking thugs; over some drug slippin, sexual deviant you cant even leave around your sisters, mother and daughters.

none of y'all would accept the msg cosby was pitching if it came from white folk. but y'all okay with cosby basically being used as their mouth piece. cosby is getting exactly what he deserved. cosby's metaphorical poundcake was stepping out of his marriage and having sex with countless drug induced women w/o their full consent.
Cosby is literally a lot of these posters incarnate.
They want to be "Pro-Black" but still harbor largely negative opinions and views about
black people.
Even the "normal" black person in their posts bolstering cosby or his opinions is some barely
literate idiot who'd commit a crime or pop out a baby before they do something to better themselves.
It's really telling how these dudes feel about themselves and express that self loathing through
"We got to do better" type rhetoric.

I remember listening to this speech live. I thought it came out in the nineties?

I listened to this because Bill was the man! He was like the father everyone wanted.

Hearing what he had to say I went from :blessed: To :patrice: to :what: to :pacspit:.

After that speech, I didn't listen or watch anything from Cosby. Still haven't, only thing made me click or read anything on him are these rape allegations. He was a fukk nikka too me because of what he said.

I was younger then, still thuggin. And if it's one thing we hate, it's being told our shyt stank.

As a real grown man now, I can say I see where he was coming from. He was c00ning a little and off on some things, but the overall spirit, not the message but the spirit was right. Because the message was CONFORMING to white America and they might love us. Which is false.

The spirit is, it's up to us to better ourselves. That parents need to raise their kids. That we need our communities back and we need education.
