Yeah bill has always been fake as hell. My parents hipped me to Bill when I was a kid. My parents were in the civil rights movement and couldn't stand Cosby because unlike many black entertainers like dikk Gregory, Jim Brown, Belafilonte and the rest. Bill refused to speak on any issue and played it safe and the only reason he got big was because he filled in the void left by dikk Gregory who was out marching.

For Bill to do all that shyt then speak on black issues years later is a fukking joke. The problem black folks don't teach their kids history so you had all these young kats cosigning Bill without knowing what he was really about. Dude always been an OJ lite.

Now the same white folks that helped build him up are now eating his ass at a table with other cannabals. The shyt is ironic.

I'm confused as to what we're mad at Bill Cosby for, exactly.

He failed 10th grade 3 times? Yeah that was dumb. But he was a kid. Who knows what his situation was like. Did you know he worked full time, with jobs before and after school, as well as lettered in 4 sports during high school? All while at an advanced magnet school? If he went to high school 20 years later they would have just passed his ass like they do most athletes nowadays.

Also, he has an EdD...not a PhD. Theres a difference. Its still a Doctorate. Do we know how many people receive masters and doctorates either via online, or thru an extended studies program? His case is nothing special, people do it all the time. He even wrote a 142 page doctoral thesis, just like all students have to do.

Instead of trying to denigrate his educational achievements we should be applauding his resiliency. No one else in show business gave a shyt about higher education. Bill Cosby was out there promoting it, and even pushed himself to achieve. I'm sure his path was easier than your average student....but it doesnt sound like it was any easier than your average rich person.
