Yea 18/7/7 is getting locked up when u use to averaging close to 30 and your team expecting that out of u. And if u watch the game u will see he got locked up, dude was in fear whenever they backed off him and dared him to shoot

I think everybody agrees that Bron choked in that series, but it clearly had nothing to do with Jason Terry.

Neither one of those were playoff games which is a different animal altogether. Jordan getting 60 pts. out of 2 games and your team winning by an average of 3 means nothing. Bron would make his teammates better and it would most likely be a blowout win.

In 1991 Rick Mahorn, Vinnie Johnson, James Edwards and John Long were no longer on the roster. the Pistons were beat by Jordan but they were also in a clear state of decline.

True. Their goonery would ramp up in the playoffs and effectively lock Jordan up.

:francis:

They fell off because the bulls team as a whole got better and kicked them off their throne. Isaiah, dumars, laimbeer, and dpoy Rodman were still there in 1991. Looks like once their goons left and they had to depend on skill, they couldn't cut it. :francis:

All that is fine and well, but u just side setting the fact that he got shut down cause they knew he couldn't make them shoots. They gameplan took away his drive and he can't shoot great

Would gameplan work on
Kobe
Curry
Harden
Wade
T Mac
Pierce
Ray Allen
Agent 0
Iverson
Melo
Kd
Wesbrook
Cp3

Just to name a few off his peers from his generation
1. Kobe would refuse to pass the ball in the clutch. His lakers got swept by the Mavericks. That argument is dead.
2. Curry works better off the ball as a shooter. As I said if a team throws a zone at you the best way to break it is to shoot and make 3 pointers. Miami would have suffered greatly on the defensive end losing James, but swapping curry for bibby might be enough to offset that. Current curry anyway.
3. Harden was scoring 9-10 points a game that season and played worse defense than bibby. Not a chance.
4. Wade was on the team. Their plan was let him go off if it meant slow James down. It worked and they won in 6
5. McGrady was a shaky 3 point shooter and never left the first round. Get outta here
6 and 7. Allen and pierce both function well off the ball and are better 3 point shooters. Their skill sets would've fit better than 2011 Wade and James. Dallas would have had to prioritize the perimeter over the paint on defense if you switch James out for Allen or pierce.
8. Iverson won 1 playoff series after 2001, was way too small to play quality defense, and shot 40% in the playoffs while being a bad 3 point shooter. Dallas wins quicker in this case.
9. Carmelo was a shaky 3 point shooter, didn't play defense, and doesn't pass the ball in 2011.
10. See Carmelo except he might have been a better shooter. Dallas beat Oklahoma in 5.
11. Russ can't shoot the 3. Dallas beat okc in 5.
12. The entire makeup of Miami changes if you switch James for Paul. They probably don't make the finals or get by Boston either.

to beat that defensive strategy you need good off ball movement, coaching, and 3 point shooting around your stars. We didn't have that.

Nobody said Michael couldn't pass the rock. He's talking about really running an offense. Scottie handled this job a lot too. Now, was Jordan as capable? :manny: I recall 1994-95 through the 1997-98 season better than his early years. Mike was great but I have to give James the edge here. He hasn't averaged less than 6 assists a game since he was 18 and routinely gets over 7 a game, peaking at 8.6. Jordan peaked at 8 in the late 1980's, but without looking I'd guess the Bulls played a faster pace than the 2010 cavaliers did. Mike at his lowest got 3.5 assists a night compared to James getting around 5.5. Now as I said I didn't watch 1980's Michael, but comparing 1990's Michael to James, I have to give James the edge in running his team's offense, especially when considering Phil had the triangle in place and James had to carry sets designed by Mike brown and Erik spoelstra, not that you can do too bad with either man running the offense.

Bad boys pistons won their first title facing a Lakers team with a injured magic johnson who literally sat out for like 4 games lmao.

WHo cares what these bums think, probably the most overrated team of alltime, seriously

Half the time Jordan was leading the POINT... even in that video... or did you watch it? Jordan WAS that offense.
