then why are you in this thread challenging what nba champion and professional basketball player Bill Laimbeer thinks? leave now
I didnt challenge it, my initial post in this thread was just saying that the bad boy pistols are an overrated "dynasty" which they are imo.

I want to get back to the point though...

the idea that laimbeer is choosing lebron over MJ is for the following reasons:

  • he isn't mesmerized by the legend of michael jordan. He wasn't a 'peer' of jordan. Jordan was a player who tried to make it in his conference and division. And his team beat jordan for years until he had to change his game. The pistons [especially sally, him, mahorn, etc] are very different from the pacers and knicks and cavs' opinions in that era.
  • He beat him repeatedly. That alone makes you not put a player on that pedestal.
  • He watched both first hand, and believes that lebron does stuff that jordan didn't do on the court. Thats fine, that is opinion.
its not salt or hate or anything...its just his belief. and I get it. agree or not, i get where he is coming from. I can't imagine Barkley saying Malone is GOAT PF, he would probably say duncan for some of the same reasons.
I think it's very plausible there is some salt about how dirty Mike and the Bulls ended their championship run

The Set
Replace Bron with the Duncan that won back to back MVP's and a two titles along the way (ask the Pistons :mjpls:) with a lesser talented squad the Spurs (the 03 squad) had and yes he would have.

I just wanted to semi derail this thread tho :lolbron:

True. Their goonery would ramp up in the playoffs and effectively lock Jordan up.

:francis:

They fell off because the bulls team as a whole got better and kicked them off their throne. Isaiah, dumars, laimbeer, and dpoy Rodman were still there in 1991. Looks like once their goons left and they had to depend on skill, they couldn't cut it. :francis:

You're just arguing to argue now, Did Jordan win any of those series when he put up 40 pt. games? When Jordan finally won were the Pistons team as deep as years previous? Don't quote me to you can come with a legit rebuttal.
Bad boys pistons won their first title facing a Lakers team with a injured magic johnson who literally sat out for like 4 games lmao.

WHo cares what these bums think, probably the most overrated team of alltime, seriously

ask that Laker squad what they thought though and I bet they would offer up nothing but respect.

self exposure is the ONLY thing worse than self ether

At this point folks are just typing because they have nothing else to do with their hands. :troll:

This thread has evolved from the effectiveness of LBJ vs Jordan to a conversation that isn't even coherent anymore.

idk where you know them to be rated but they won back to back titles, went to the finals 3 straight years, and conference finals 5 straight years. That is exactly 1 title and 1 finals appearance better than the 2000s pistons run btw. thats pretty effin legit, and better than anything today

Ive seen jordan do all them type of passes please

Like I said Jordan DEVELOPED the ability to pass when NEED be. LeBron has ALWAYS had the passing ability to run an offense on a nightly basis. Just by looking at assist numbers you can tell who did more play making. Why is this still a discussion:why:.

Jordan stans on here acting like he was the greatest at everything:snoop:

:childplease: He and his team ducked their heads and slithered off of the court like punks after being swept by the Bulls because they were so butthurt and salty. They hated each other. Of course Laimbeer is still throwing shade. Save this for cats who don't know better.

I'm not arguing anything. I'm showing you that you don't know what you're talking about.

You started off the thread saying dumars locked up Jordan. Then when shown dumars getting lit up for 59 and 61 points, you said those weren't in the playoffs. Then when shown dumars getting lit up for 42, 46, and 47 points in the playoffs, you switched the question to "did the bulls win the series?" You brought up the individual matchup then switched it up to a team matchup. You brought up Jordan getting locked up. I just showed that you have no idea what you were talking about.

Everyone knows the pistons beat the bulls, you just wrongly took it to another level saying Joe dumars shut down Jordan.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The fact that this dude acting like Jordan couldnt take this Cavs team to the finals is literally ALL that needs to be said to prove he's salty. Theres literally NO other explanation considering how asinine it is to think Jordon wouldnt have this Cavs team in the finals..

lebron was throwin oops in his high school games to guys who didn't make it in college...he is a natural passer and court general.

Jordan is a natural scorer...doin cradle dunks in games as a FRESHMAN...he developed passing out of necessity and getting the reputation of being a ball hog / selfish player...and the jordan rules requiring him to kick it out when defenses collapsed...thus..the aforementioned kickout 3 by kerr and paxson.

Not to mention in the 90's you couldn't even breathe on jordan with them blowing the whitsle

lebron never got love like that from the refs ever
:dahell:

MJ in Chicago averaged 8.7 FTA per game.

Bron is at 8.5 for his career.

MJ had 2 years going to the line more than 10 times a game.

Bron has done it 3 times.

When people start comparing him with Jordan then that’s not a fair comparison. Jordan was a far more superior player in a very tough league, he was very creative,” former Houston Rockets star Hakeem Olajuwon said.

“That’s not taking away anything from LeBron because he is a great player but it is not a fair comparison because Jordan is a far superior player.

no jordan finals team was as weak as this current cavs.

I'm not making the same conclusion as laimbeer, but 91-93 and 96-98 bulls are ALL more talented than these cavs
