Obviously seeing where the team is at now its easy to say you can plug in player x here and he can do this. But do you think Jordan could have got this team to where they are now at the beginning of the season? Think about it, pretty much everyone on that team were all losers.

lebron was throwin oops in his high school games to guys who didn't make it in college...he is a natural passer and court general.

Jordan is a natural scorer...doin cradle dunks in games as a FRESHMAN...he developed passing out of necessity and getting the reputation of being a ball hog / selfish player...and the jordan rules requiring him to kick it out when defenses collapsed...thus..the aforementioned kickout 3 by kerr and paxson.

You started off the thread saying dumars locked up Jordan. Then when shown dumars getting lit up for 59 and 61 points, you said those weren't in the playoffs. Then when shown dumars getting lit up for 42, 46, and 47 points in the playoffs, you switched the question to "did the bulls win the series?" You brought up the individual matchup then switched it up to a team matchup. You brought up Jordan getting locked up. I just showed that you have no idea what you were talking about.

Everyone knows the pistons beat the bulls, you just wrongly took it to another level saying Joe dumars shut down Jordan.

Refer to my previous post where Jordan himself says Dumars was the toughest guy to play against, He could not drive past him. those are words from the horse's mouth not mine. No one is discounting Jordan's greatness. I'm just saying Lebron has done more to make his teammates better while being surrounded with lesser talent than Jordan.

Now if you want to talk semantics and hinge your argument on what being locked up is. Then you have proven that your only argument is the fact that Jordan can go off for a few games most of which had nothing to do with the playoffs let alone winning a series. This strategy is used often for teams with superstars. Make the best player beat You while limiting his effectiveness. Lebron has a better skillset than Jordan when teams employ this tactic against said "superstar" .

I'm not making the same conclusion as laimbeer, but 91-93 and 96-98 bulls are ALL more talented than these cavs

You posted a quote of Jordan saying dumars was the toughest for him to drive by. As seen in the clips, the operative phrase is drive by, which Jordan was doing. Him being the toughest to drive by doesn't negate him driving by dumars still.

That's like a boxer saying one opponent was his toughest to knockout. He still knocked him out. Jordan still got his. Again, Dumars didn't shut him down.
