MJ averaged 32/8/8 in '89

That's closer to averaging a triple double than Lebron has ever gotten for a full season

Lebron's playoff numbers though.....:wow:

This is a person that actually BEAT Jordan regularly in his prime.

These 90's Pistons don't worship Jordan like everybody else.

He's just calling it like he sees it.

it was a different era...

plus, it's like asking the gilbert arenas wizards how they feel about lebron james! or asking the ray allen celtics how they feel about lebron james!!

In the 3 series the Bulls lost to the Pistons, MJ averaged:

27/9/5/2 on 49%
30/6/7/2 on 46%
32/7/6/2 on 47%

They weren't locking him up, they were just on some goon shyt and MJ's supporting cast wasn't strong enough

pippen had blurry vision one of those series sitting on the sidelines. pippen getting overwhelmed had jordan in tears thinking he would never win/get-to the big dance.

at a certain point they focused on getting in pippen head and getting physical with him as Jordan survived most of the test. Pippen getting right got them over the hump.

Bron already SONNED what people where calling "Bad boys 2":

Were they called that because they were goons or because they were a Pistons team that played defense.

Reminds me of people in that finals saying they were playing the Kobe rules because he would get doubled at times, not because they were knocking the hell out of him.

I think so too. But most people will only start thinking its acceptable to say Lebron > Mike once James has retired. People hate to give that level of props to someone current. Lebron James has the disadvantage of being the best player during the socia media / twitter age, where everyone is super critical and always hating/downplaying greatness.

All you gotta do is flip the script. If Lebron James was playing on that Bulls team in the 90s, you can bet your ass he woulda won multiple championships and dominated the fukk out of the league. And he'd probably (I'm not gonna claim we would be, but probably) be as legendary as Jordan today.

of course Lebron could get it done if he was on Jordan team instead of pippen. :childplease:

1) I'd be more surprised if Laimbeer actually gave Jordan any credit. Him playing down Jordan's greatness isn't new or surprising

2) The Pistons walking off the court before the end of Game 4 is one of the top 5 (if not the top) Biggest bytch Moves in sports no matter how you try to defend it.

I don't give a fukk about either of these nikkas but the narrative that ex-players giving props to one player and yall saying "So What? That don't mean shyt." but when its player YOU like and the same people say something positive about "their" player its "See? They know what they talking about. They actually played."...is fukking hysterical to me.
