:patrice: It was hilarious but inaccurate...His 3 critiques of capitalism were totally off...hes actually criticizing corporate socialism AKA crony capitalism where the state helps corporations..the costs are dumped on the taxpayer

being at war..the taxpayer pays the cost of the wars and all the profits go to the Arms industry and defense contractors

they imprison people....the taxpayer pays the cost of private prison..they pay to build them,to fill them and a private company runs them keeps the profits and lobbies for even stricter laws so they can get more occupants.

they keep people sick...thats because the biggest customer is the government if you add medicare/medicaid .VA and govt worker health-plans and facilities the govt is over 50% of the healthcare market....the drug industry is a cartel protected by the state

none of that shyt is capitalism..

"Some socialists say that they are simply advocating “sharing,” and since socialism’s advocates have good intentions, it must be voluntary and beneficial, too. Except that it never is. If it were voluntary, it wouldn’t be socialism, and if it were beneficial, you wouldn’t need force to create it and sustain it."

Socialism is an economic model not a political one. I feel like the average Bernie Bro never understood that. Democratic Socialism wasn't going to fix corruption in politics.

It's not semantics, it's huge glaring discrepancy. The basis of your question is akin to me asking you if McDonald's is serving up some good trousers. . . well you know, burgers, trousers. It's just semantics. Was I wrong?

Depends on what you want government to do.

If you want a streamlined government and are either socially or fiscally conservative, you opinion about what a government should do is different from someone who believes the basic needs of all citizens should be met before other expenditures.

So an ecpanded government with more taxes would be fine for some people.

Right now i think the twin issues are waste and the use it or lose it directive. Efficiency is not rewarded, it's punished. Cutting funding does not promote efficiency, however.

What is a true working solution?

You seem to be of reasonable aptitude but this is going to take some time. How much time do you have today?
