I don't mind a teacher thinking it looks suspicious and wanting someone who knows better to check it out. I have a problem with the kid being handcuffed and taken out when the clock was proven to be a clock. At the very least, they could have sat him some place while they investigated the situation, but they cuffed him and pulled him out of school when teachers in the building could have explained that it wasn't a bomb. I have a problem with the mayor doubling down on the treatment he received and the school sending out a letter blaming the kid and his parents. There's a difference between having a reaction to something that odd looking and having a blatant overreaction. There's a difference between treating a 14 year old with a bit of suspicion that he may be doing something mischievous and treating him like a criminal in front of his entire school.

Fam, an a fukking high school teacher doesn't know that shyt UNLESS they're a REALLY good Physics teacher. Your average teacher ain't trying to rationalize all that shyt.

He deserves an apology. I can't say this enough.. But you know damn well your kids wouldn't be allowed to do that shyt. You'd have warned them about that shyt. Don't package clocks in suitcases to mirror some shyt you liked out of the movies or video games and think that shyt is sweet.

We live in a new reality after Columbine et al, so don't pretend you want safer schools and environments yet act like you're so high and mighty not to freak the fukk out when lil buddy walks in with a prop for a halloween costume.

1) Physics Teacher? What he built was not even that impressive to be honest, a PCB board that was pre-programmed to tell time already, connected to a lcd screen, a transformer to changed the voltage from AC to DC, that's elementary radio shack shyt. If a middle school science teacher can't tell that shyt, they should be fired. Don't they train police to detect for explosives.

2) I do want my kids to be safe, just evacuate the whole school if you think it's a bomb, but they didn't. Because they knew it wasn't.
